The class of 2028 is a group that showed up at the Champions Cup. They were competitive and gritty and learned a lot throughout the tournament. Here are some of the performances to remember for the class of 2028.    Abrie's all-around play was eye-catching. When I first saw her play, I thought she was a L/DS due to her quick reactions in the back row and clean passing. Then, she rotated to the front row and started manufacturing points on the pin. She played very savvy with her shots and took swings to earn points. Aubrie is also playing up an age division this season, making her play all the more impressive.     Reese was a six-rotation outside hitter for 414 15 Elite at the Champions Cup, and I was so impressed with the mental and physical load she carried for the team. She played with a great level of maturity, and even if the team was in a rut, she was able to help grind them out of it, point by point. Reese was a major contributor throughout the game and a go-to player and leader, whether it was her serve, defense, offense, or block.     Brynn was one of the most mentally locked-in athletes at the tournament. She did not let anything faze her, which is essential as a libero. Her mental toughness helped her play consistently. I saw her at the libero and defensive specialist positions for 414 15 Elite throughout the tournament, and she impressed in each.     The way Ryun spread out her offense with clean form and a quick tempo. She efficiently ran down every ball she could and was incredibly consistent for her 414 15 Elite Squad. Ryun has a lot of potential. Her court awareness is solid as well as her physical movement and placement of the ball.     Cara is a pin with an explosive approach and a sky-high vertical. She can take big rips on the ball and is a talented pin on the 414 15 Elite team. Her big swings can change the momentum of a game, and she is a player whose potential is nearly infinite. Cara is a player to watch and will continue to improve and impress every time she steps on the court.     Emma was a new name to me at the Champions Cup, and she impressed. She took her responsibilities as a middle to the next level and was disciplined as a blocker, hitter, and in transition. She wasn't afraid to grab balls on defense or take risks on offense.     Estelle is a class of 2028 setter. She has clean hands and great ball control. Her court presence is mature and confident, and she is a natural leader. Estelle does not make many errors and is a consistent force on the court. She has a great connection with her hitters and is relentless when pursuing the ball.     Lauren is a very smart middle. Her bread and butter is the deep corner shot, and she can paint the end line with the ball. It is an impressive shot for any volleyball player to make consistently, much less someone in their 15s club year. She utilizes other swings and shots and is incredibly crafty at the net. The way she adjusts to her sets also makes her very versatile and reduces any potential errors.     Kaylee never missed her chance to step up for her team at the Champions Cup. She was a confident and vocal leader on the court and never backed down from a challenge. Her defense was superb, and she seemed to have endless energy. Kaylee also went on several long serving runs, and that was just the times I saw her play, I am sure there were many more throughout the weekend.     Brooklyn was an unwavering leader on the pin. She could capitalize on nearly any set and had a way of making the right plays at the right moments. Brooklyn is an athletic pin who was laser-focused throughout matches at the Champions Cup. She played in all six rotations, and her consistency and positivity were likely key factors.     Mya's presence on the court was like a spark plug. She got amped for every teammate and made big plays herself. At the Champions Cup she was the type of player who led by example and consistently terminated on offense.     Talia's speed initially set her apart. She could pick up anything on the court. Her reaction time was lightning fast, and she was ready for anything to come her way. From reading setter dumps to getting great touches in coverage, Talia picked it all up. She was an incredibly fun libero to watch run the court.     Alexandra ran a 5-1 for Madtown at the Champions Cup when I saw them play, and she did a fantastic job commanding the court. She kept all of her hitters involved and worked to place the ball accurately for her hitters. Alexandra adapted well on the court to out-of-system situations and was always on the move to make a great play.     Anna was a middle who could take over a match. She played for Madtown 151 Select at the Champions Cup and was dominant. Even though she only played three rotations, Anna's contributions could be felt for points after her plays. She was a game-changing athlete on the court and a player to keep an eye on in this class.     Marin played all six rotations as a right-side hitter. She was fearless with her swing and earned some great points tooling the opposing block. As a lefty, she could manufacture some sharp angles on the right side to terminate across the net. Her defense was solid as well, and she was a player who consistently contributed and was not afraid to take swings out of the back row.     I would love to know what Kensley's vertical is. She truly soared when she took her approach. The way she elevated above the net meant she was hitting over many blocks. When she connected with the set she was unstoppable. Kensley has an incredible amount of potential and is a player to watch.     I loved how competitive Audrianna was in her play. She went on long serving runs, was keen-eyed and tactical with her sets, and was disciplined with her form. It was apparent that Audrianna paid attention to the little details and the efforts paid off time and time again.     Brianna was smart and smooth at the Champions Cup. She had a way of getting her armswing around even when it seemed like it might be a little late. She made key adjustments throughout the match, like speeding up her approach on low sets or finding open court on out-of-system hits, which kept her earning points throughout the day. Her defense and blocking were also impressive.     Lilly was one of the middles to beat at the Champions Cup. Not many who went up against her could put up a block to consistently stop her. Lilly was always mixing up where she was hitting and reading her blockers well. She was smart, athletic, and powerful out of the middle for [program_tooltip program_id='557038' first='Milwaukee' last='Juniors'].     Claire might have had some of the best angles in the 15s divisions at the Champions Cup. She played a clean and crisp game of volleyball and defended the backcourt ferociously. Claire did all of the little things right, something many coaches look for in athletes. She was disciplined and set herself and her team up for success. Her ball control and serve receive only added to her great play throughout the weekend.     Lila was a pin who was reliable in everything she did. She seemed to have found the perfect balance of being smart while staying aggressive. Her errors were on aggressive shots and impressive in their own right. Her all-around play meant she was a threat in all six rotations. Lila was not afraid to take swings out of the back row and she if she wasn't on the ground making a huge defensive play, she was calling for the set to help her team earn points.     Brynn came to play at the Champions Cup. She played all six rotations in the matches I saw and was relentless in each one. She led by example, putting up great passes, communicating on the court, and always finding a way to contribute to a play. Brynn always seemed to be in the right spot and made smart plays at the right moments.     Rebeca is a 2028 libero playing for [program_tooltip program_id='431479' first='Wisconsin' last='Juniors'] and the floor general in charge of the backcourt. She takes great ownership of the back row and works hard to set the rest of her team up for success. Rebecca impressed me the several times I saw them play, both with her physical play and with her leadership.     Scarlett is a middle blocker who never missed a beat. I am not sure I have seen a middle at the 15s division who is more consistent at covering her teammates when they are hitting. She was incredibly disciplined and serious about her physical play but also one of the biggest hype players on the court. She put up a big block and worked hard to get from pin to pin. Scarlett could be a huge impact middle in this class.
