–

We are well underway in the 2025 calendar year! The club season is in full swing and so are some of the top prospects that Michigan has to offer!

We are back channeling on close to 3-4 months on commitments here. As the shift from the HS to Club season began, we saw a lot of fun names pop up and claim their spot on a roster at the next level. As the year unfolds and the closer we get to summer time, don't be surprised to see many more names announce their next move!

This is another senior heavy commitment update. Four of the five have found their next moves and will be excited to get started this fall. The other is an riveting talent that continues to climb the ladder.

6'0 MB - Clarkston/L2

[player_tooltip player_id='179732' first='Isabelle' last='Henry'] has maintained to be one of the stronger middles of the senior class throughout her prep career. A steady player in the middle, Henry has managed to lead Clarkston to several deep post season runs with her play in the middle. On the club circuit, she was a staple for L2 throughout their first few years. Henry joins what seems to be a growing pipeline of MI players to Youngstown State that includes 2020 grad Nyia Setla (Northville/West Liberty), 2022 grad Bianca Giglio (NDP/Marshall), and 2024 grad Taya Nordmann (DeWitt/SIUE).

5'11 MB - Everest Collegiate/Unified

Add another one to the Northwood 2025 class, 2x D4 State Champion, [player_tooltip player_id='722961' first='Addison' last='Pearce'] joins the party. With a player like Pearce, who has experience a lot of winning throughout her prep career, but yet has a lot more development up her sleeve, Northwood is looking to capitalize on their recent successes. Pearce is a player that I could see moving around the net at the next level. Given her raw talent, and slight undersize in the middle, Pearce could become quite the utility treat for the Timberwolves.

[player_tooltip player_id='473958' first='Julia' last='Rodriguez'] to Clarion

6'0 MB - Frankenmuth/Michigan Elite

This is another middle that could become quite the utility player at the next level. [player_tooltip player_id='473958' first='Julia' last='Rodriguez'] has emerged as a real exciting prospect to be entering the next level from the 2025 class. As a middle, Rodriguez has had an incredibly strong prep career. On the club scene, she has managed to show off quite the chops to play the complete game at a high level. Something that could've really caught Clarion's eye. Her stellar ball control mixed with a live wire arm could translate to more postseason runs for the D2 Power.

[player_tooltip player_id='187070' first='Alayna' last='Esselink'] to Slippery Rock

5'11 MB - Richmond/Michigan Elite

Another exciting middle from the 2025 Michigan Elite cannon, [player_tooltip player_id='187070' first='Alayna' last='Esselink'] has announced her next stop, Slippery Rock. This middle is another that bodes a high ceiling with a lot of versatility. Her and Rodriguez have become the dynamic duo on the Elite 2s over the last two years. Esselink is another player that can mold in and out of positions, finding a lot of success wherever you put her.

[player_tooltip player_id='535138' first='Briawna' last='Zimmerman'] to Western Michigan

6'2 MB - Forest Hills Northern/FaR Out

[player_tooltip player_id='535138' first='Briawna' last='Zimmerman'], one of the most exciting players in the 2026 class is staying home. Western Michigan has really made a business for themselves tapping into the state's best homegrown talent and watching them flourish. In return, WMU has become one of the strongest Mid-Majors in the country. Zimmerman is one of those players that cranks up the heat. A middle who can hit just about any set you give her and block with the best of them, she will be a welcome addition capable of making immediate impact.
