Spring Rankings Update: 2026 Middle Hitters

[player_tooltip player_id='226909' first='Kayla' last='Nwabueze'], Bloomfield Hills/Legacy: </strong>Not just the top-ranked player in Michigan, but one of the very best in the nation. They don't get much more explosive than this Harvard commit.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2. [player_tooltip player_id='226875' first='Ella' last='Andrews'], Mercy/Legacy: </strong>A 6'4” powerhouse that can move well, Andrews has all the tools to be successful at the college level. [player_tooltip player_id='446691' first='Taliyah' last='Hanks'], Loy Norrix/Dead Frog: </strong>One of the most explosive players to come out of the Kalamazoo area, this USC commit can take over a match quickly and hammer the ball down on an unlucky defender.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>4. [player_tooltip player_id='553159' first='Mya' last='Hemmer'], Ishpeming/FC Elite: </strong>A 6'2” power in the UP, Hemmer has shot up these rankings in the last year and has earned a commitment to Baylor. She's definitely proving she can be among the best middles in the country.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>5. [player_tooltip player_id='487356' first='Lucy' last='Monahan'], Bedford/Michigan Elite: </strong>Another impressive middle from the Bedford program, the 6'2” Monahan moves well along the net and has improved on her timing to be a dominant presence.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Others To Watch</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='535138' first='Briawna' last='Zimmerman'], FH Northern/FaR Out: </strong>Just outside the top 5, Zimmerman has raised her level of play a great deal in the last year and she's currently committed to Western Michigan.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='569764' first='Amani' last='Agoot'], West Bloomfield/Michigan Elite: </strong>A very athletic middle that can play well above the net, Agoot has been fine-tuning her play to be more polished, but she still has a high ceiling for where her game can go.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='487079' first='Jillian' last='Gibbs'], OLSM/L2: </strong>Gibbs has a polished game and plays with good composure. She can uncork a power shot, but shows the awareness to make a finesse play when the time calls for it.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='728154' first='Nikki' last='Fedewa'], Pewamo-Westphalia/Attack: </strong>Fedewa can play at a fast tempo and does a great job of getting over the ball for sharp attack angles. She can be a dominant player in Division 3 in the next year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='536264' first='Syerra' last='Mills'], Clare/Northshore: </strong>One of the middles that could breakout over the next year, Mills can get hot quickly and she shows consistently powerful delivery.
