2027 Stock Risers: Who’s Heating Up Volume 1

As we find ourselves coming to the final leg of the club season, it is always nice to circle back to talent I have seen earlier in the season to see their growth. It is also a chance for me to find some new talent that I didn't know about. There might be someone on the team that I didn't get a chance to see originally or maybe they were having an off day previously (it happens, I get it)! Either way, below are some players that have continued to elevate the game and wow us on the courts! Keep grinding, we love what we see! She has a quick first step, solid read, and isn't afraid to sacrifice her body to make a save. Becraft also is great at running through the short balls and passing them precisely to target. Becraft has worked hard on serve receive and the results are showing. Her team is remaining more and more in system and is able to run a highly effective offense.     Duttlinger is a outside with a big vertical and a solid swing. I recently saw her play in Madison at the LOVB tournament and was impressed with her quick movements on the court and her hammer for an arm. Duttinger isn't just an attacker though. She is also a beast on defense. She runs the net well, puts up a solid block, and plays really good off blocker defense.     Adams is a setter on the rise. She has a nice tempo on the ball and delivers it cleanly to her pins. She also does a solid job finding her middles in transition. Adams is smart and knows how to spread out the offense, getting all of her attackers contributing and the team firing on all cylinders. Adams is also stellar on defense. She is great at reading and picks up numerous tips and dumps as well as handles hard hit shots with ease.     Budde was a new discovery for me a couple of months ago and she deserves some serious props for her efforts and contributions on the court. When I have seen her, she has been primarily playing on the right side. She has good footwork, great timing, and can put up a monster block. She is also a solid contributor on the offense end. She isn't afraid to be bold and take big swings. I think her attacks off one foot on the right side are probably my favorite. Not only are they lethal but they are oh so fun to watch.     I saw Van De Berg play for the first time at the Mizuno Showcase in Wisconsin Dells a couple of months ago when her team was playing up in the 17s division. Van De Berg was a beast on the court. She transitions quickly, explodes to the pin, and has a quick rocket for an arm that lets her put down huge attacks cross court and down the line. While she may be a feisty lefty that naturally prefers the right pin, her athleticism allow her to be just as terminal from the left side. Teams need to watch out with her as she can terminate from anywhere on the court.     McSorely is a setter with a huge potential. She is quick and gets her feet to the ball allowing her to deliver clean sets to her pins and middles. She has a high window making her hard for the opposing team to read her. McSorely also plays great defense. Due to quickness and court awareness, McSorely is able to run through many balls picking up numerous tips and pushes. I think McSorely is just getting started and we are going to hear her name alot over the next couple of months.         I recently watched Bischoff play in Kentucky. This girls has an amazing read and reach. I was impressed with how well she reads the opposing teams offense, reacts, and then makes that final reach to close blocks. She did a a solid job stopping the quicks in the middle, swung out to the pins to close blocks with ease, and read the backrow attacks efficiently. On the offensive end, her reach came through once again. She used her speed and vertical to get on top the ball to deliver terminal shots to both sides of the court. Bischoff may have been flying under the radar up until recently but no longer!
