Adams is a setter on the rise. She has a nice tempo on the ball and delivers it cleanly to her pins. She also does a solid job finding her middles in transition. Adams is smart and knows how to spread out the offense, getting all of her attackers contributing and the team firing on all cylinders. Adams is also stellar on defense. She is great at reading and picks up numerous tips and dumps as well as handles hard hit shots with ease.

Gracyn Adams Gracyn Adams 5'10" | S Ankeny | 2027 State IA has plenty of big game experience playing for RVA 16 Verona out of the Central Iowa Metro in Des Moines. She is coming off a big high school season for Ankeny High who is always one of the top large school powers in Iowa. She knows how to command the offense as a setter and finds a way to get her attackers a favorable matchup. She defends her position extremely well and will be one to keep track of throughout this weekend in Louisville. This is RVA’s chance to really make a statement to the rest of the Midwest.

Another setter among our stock-risers, Adams shared the position and made the most of her opportunities. She produced 478 assists in helped the Hawks return to the state tournament. Adams prospers in the back row, too, ranking among the team leaders with 169 digs. She’s a quick-twitch athlete with refined volleyball skills. Adams puts the ball in places where her hitters can excel and moves smoothly around the court, taking charge of the attack. The Hawks graduate a lot of talent off this year’s team, so expect Adams to take another step forward in a bigger role for 2025.

Adams does a really nice job making connections with her hitters. I love the variety she uses in gameplay to get everyone involved. She sees her attackers and nows how and when to utilize her middles.
