Silver Lake Trio Leads Lakers To Club Victory

Here is a look at prospects from the Lakers squad who impressed me.&nbsp; It's a team made up of Northeast Kansas prospects and included a trio of players from Silver Lake.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='766347' first='Karys' last='Deiter'],</strong> 5'7”, OH, Silver Lake, ‘28</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>So the best all-around performance in the match came from Deiter. She is a multi-sport prospect who I had seen play some club basketball, but this was the first time I saw her play volleyball in person. She is quick and athletic. She can play six rotations and finished the match with a team high five kills. She played setter for the Lakers, and her quickness stood out. She can push the ball to the pin but also has a quick middle set. She collected three digs and eight assists. She moves well laterally and will attempt to get in front of every ball. She led the Lakers with nine digs in the win over Shockwave. She made consistent first passes and is willing to lay out for tough digs. She also recorded seven serve receptions in the first match of the day. She is a physical prospect who moves well for her size and frame. She hit the ball like it mouthed off to her. She finished with five kills and can block. She is currently ranked No. 96 overall at Prep Girls Hoops Kansas. She is not as long and physical as Mills, but she is sneaky quick and hits the ball as hard. She plays defensive specialist for her club team but is expected to set for her prep team. Her serve has improved since I last saw her. It's a low-line drive that gets on defenders quickly.
