Prospects Added in '28 Rankings Top 50

Locker is a 2028 middle with good length for the position. At 6'1, her size and touch point are an asset to her success and the overall impact for her AVC team between the pins this club season. Her potential is big as she continues to develop her offensive range. AVC runs their middles fast in front of the setter and Locker has shown good ability to get up quickly and take a big swing. Between her training with AVC and Ohio power Magnificat, expect Locker to continue to establish herself as a top prospect in this Ohio class.     I like what James brings to the net as an undersized middle at 5'10. She is athletic, jumps well, and can contact with open shoulders in the air that allow for good pace and range. Her development over the past few months has been noticeable as her timing and spacing through quick options has improved which allows her to be more assertive and aggressive upon contact. She is another prospect that will benefit well from her full cycle of training and competition with NOVA and her Jackson high school team.     Smith recently arrived on the radar and rightfully so. At 6'0, she is a versatile attacker with ability to score in a variety of ways both at the pins and from the middle. A multi-sport athlete, she is athletic with [program_tooltip program_id='431827' first='Elevation' last=''] and fluid movement at the net on both sides of the ball. She can develop a big arm in the air with the right approach work which is met with a high contact and some good pace. Smith earned over 100 kills over her freshman season for Huron this past Fall and will likely make an even bigger impact in 2025.     Competing for [program_tooltip program_id='431827' first='Elevation' last='']'s second 15U team, Richter is developing into one of the best middles in their club at this age group and in the greater Cincy area overall. She tracks the ball well in a variety of serve receive patterns and in transition as well which helps her create good space around her setter and off the net. With that space, combined with her contact point, she can put some good power behind the ball and with good range of the opponent's court.     Myers is an exciting prospect to find and add to this list given the quality of her arm contact in the air. At 5'8, she has noticeable lift off the floor that allows her to find space or challenge blockers well. She has good footwork in transition to get off the net quickly, wide from the pin, and to return with good momentum build to get her feet to the ball and maximize her physical tools in the air. With good power and control at the peak of her jump, she can score with touch or through a fearless and aggressive swing for pace.     Hotz is a setter prospect with a good foundation in her skills at this point in her development and performance. At 5'10, she has good length and uses her touch point well high above her head with good finish in her extension and touch. with over 580 total assists leading the Huron offense this past Fall, Hotz contributed 7.0 a/s along with seven digs per match. She is part of a young corps of athletes for Huron that will have that program competing well over the next few years.
