A lot of promise is showing up on the 15 teams for BRAVO.

Black

The dominant 6-1 Bowling Green freshman [player_tooltip player_id='774166' first='Harper' last='Huffman'] has displayed a lot of college potential with her size. Another Bowling Green freshman middle blocker in [player_tooltip player_id='774170' first='Maddie' last='Hoffman'] along with South Warren freshman defensive specialist [player_tooltip player_id='774168' first='Ashlyn' last='Carroll'] have also led the team.

South Warren freshman libero Lindsey Hughes is also responsible for first touches with fellow South Warren freshman Kayley Higgins responsible for that and hitting from the outside. The setter is Bowling Green freshman Emory Duvall with Bowling Green 5-6 freshman Ava Tuck and Greenwood freshman Kenley Kittinger providing offense from the outside. Bowling Green freshman Ellen Buchanon rounds out the roster.

The team coached by Tim Sharp finished the season 32-12 placing fifth or higher in six tournaments. The team won the Blue Raider 16 Girls Classic in mid-March.

Red

This team took its lumps finishing 16-24, but they should pay dividends in the future.

Warren East sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='774187' first='Mikaela' last='Kaczynski'] and Bowling Green freshman [player_tooltip player_id='774185' first='Olivia' last='Clark'] led the way as defensive specialists. Two other Greenwood freshmen in Chloe Lanham and Lucie Strode also gave the team nice first passes. South Warren freshman Sophia Anderson provided some spark in the middle and Franklin-Simpson freshman Natalya McCutchen did the same from the outside. Rounding out the roster were South Warren freshman Anna Arnold, Bowling Green freshman Veronica Warren and Community Christian (Tennessee) freshman Lydia Ramsey rounded out the roster.

Warren East head coach Shea Moore led the team.

Huffman (pictured) draws a lot of double teams with her size, but it does not bother her. Huffman consistently finds ways to put balls through and around those blocks. Huffman can tap balls to shallow lines or pound balls to the back row. The sky is the limit for Huffman.

Hoffman provides the 15 Black team a sound option from the outside. She pounds balls off blockers and out of bounds. Hoffman mixes up a variety of hard and soft hits keeping defenses guessing. Hoffman can hit to the lines and the middle.

Carroll does a good job moving her feet at all times. Her instincts allow her to track down balls quickly and she does it under control only diving when necessary. Her sound two to three-point passes often got the 15 Black team into a sound rhythm.

Clark mainly played defensive specialist for the 15 Red team, but also had to play on the right side as the result of injuries. Head Coach Shea Moore credited her for stepping out of her comfort zone and taking on more of a six-rotation role and flourishing more and more in every game. Moore said she's aggressive in the back row and takes smart shots as an undersized hitter in the front row.

Moore praised Kaczynski's leadership on the court. Moore also said she was very consistent on first touches, adding she kept the team in a bunch of matches as the result of her dependability. She has a bright future with her work ethic.
