–

It's been nearly 2 months to the date since we've had a commitment catch-up. And boy have the commitments been coming in like wild fire.

We've seen stars from the 25 and 26 class find their place in the last 2 months. It looks to be a preview to what should be an electrifying summer with a stud 2027 class' June 15th date on the horizon. As the club season comes to a close, i wouldn't be shocked to see even more news come out from the 26 group as well.

This next installment is heavy with the late 2025s and a hint of some high key 2026 commitments. Let's take a look.

Anneliese De Jong to Southeastern University

6'0 OPP - Kalamazoo Christian/Dead Frog

This announcement was most certainly one of the longest anticipated of the 25 class. Anneliese De Jong comes out of an extraordinarily strong class from not only Dead Frog but Kalamazoo Christian. During her four years, De Jong has had so much success. Three consecutive Final Fours with the Comets that included a championship in 2023 and she was a part of arguably one of the best classes in her club's history.

De Jong takes her talents to the south. The right side attacker will look to bring her winning ways to an already electric program that went 19-6 in 2024.

[player_tooltip player_id='595969' first='Rosemary' last='Brenner'] to Concordia University of Chicago

5'6 L - Frankenmuth

This was one of those pleasant surprises to see in the recent commitments. [player_tooltip player_id='595969' first='Rosemary' last='Brenner'] has been a steady force on the volleyball courts for the last few years in the Division 2 space. With as good as she is in the back court, she is an exceptional dual sport athlete, in which offered up question as to which sport she would choose. Alas, despite opting out of the club season this past winter, Brenner has announced her signing to Concordia University of Chicago.

The Division III program is one that could be a great fit for Brenner. As this is a talent that could see a lot more upside in her play, but also, this is a program with a lot more room for growth as well!

Sarai Villegas Rosa to Siena Heights University

5'9 OPP - Waterford Kettering/Michigan Elite

Sarai Villegas Rosa has really had herself a standout senior year. Really coming onto the radar late, however, as the saying goes, "Better late than never." Rosa joined forces with Michigan Elite and quickly became a mainstay within her first year with the club. A left handed opposite, Rosa also thrived in the ball control department where she was looked upon as a primary passer for a bulk of the rotations.

Rosa is staying in the Mitten and will head just an hour south of her Waterford roots. She'll join former club teammate, [player_tooltip player_id='454351' first='Mallory' last='Johnson'], to compete with a really competitive Siena Heights University program. With SVR's ability to play multiple positions, it'll be exciting to see what role she will play for SHU.

[player_tooltip player_id='553159' first='Mya' last='Hemmer'] to Baylor University

6'1 MB - Ispheming/FC Elite

One of the most exciting players in Michigan's 2026 class has to be none other than [player_tooltip player_id='553159' first='Mya' last='Hemmer']. Her story alone is one that warrants a piece all on its own. It isn't too often that we hear anything from the volleyball scene north of the bridge. But Hemmer has shattered all of that. Hemmer proves to be a once in a generation type athlete for this region of Michigan, or the United States for that matter. Just a small town girl from the UP, taking a chance to play high level volleyball 3 hours away. It doesn't get too much better than that!

Hemmer won't stay close to home, in fact, she will be on the totally other end of the country, taking her talents to Texas. This burgeoning talent in the middle announced she will be attending Baylor University. Keep an eye out for this electric player.

[player_tooltip player_id='226896' first='Madison' last='Geer'] to Hillsdale College

5'8 OH - Frankenmuth/Legacy

Another Frankenmuth Eagle has found their home and it's a good one. [player_tooltip player_id='226896' first='Madison' last='Geer'] has really come into her own over the last year or so of her career. From playing alongside her sister, Audrey Geer (Marshall), to now being the main source of Frankenmuth's success, Geer has seen her game really elevate. She has also been seeing huge success on the club scene as one of Legacy 17-2's main stays. She is an undersized attacker with a good feel for the court and has a nice touch in the back court.

Geer will look to capitalize on her wave of momentum and join one of the top Division II programs in Michigan, with Hillsdale College. Geer will be the second Eagle to don the Charger jersey following one of the most decorated players in the program's history, 2017 grad, Lindsey Mertz.
