Texas Liberos to Track at the Lone Star Regionals

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The George R Brown Convention Center, in Houston, will be rocking this weekend as it hosts the second week of one of the largest tournaments of the entire club volleyball season in Texas, the Lone Star Regionals.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Over 650 teams will be competing this week in one of the 20 divisions of the event, which will have teams from the 11s to the 17s age groups getting on the court between Saturday and Sunday.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Dig Texas will be on site, covering the tournament and looking for the next hidden gems in Texas. Before that, we'd like to point out some players who could be poised for strong performances this week in the days leading up to the event. The best player in the position in her age group, according to our Prep Dig State Rankings, she is one of the pillars of the team with her ability to make an impact on the backcourt. An elite passer, Gonzalez keeps her team in system with inch-perfect deliveries, creating the conditions for their dynamic offense to flourish. She leads the team's serve-receive system in a very efficient way, handling extremely well the serves that go her way and even taking a larger area of the court when needed to help struggling teammates. Very quick and technical, Mucha is capable of making truly impressive digs on the backcourt, and she's very difficult to score on. Her game has strong defensive foundations, which help her deliver strong performances and keep her team in games with difference-making plays on the backcourt. Valdez has excellent defensive instincts and, because of them, she can react to plays as they develop and anticipate moves made by her opponents. With her impressive reflexes and superior ball control, Duong is very difficult to score on, and she often forces opponents into making errors as they try to avoid her. She's one of those liberos who don't draw too much attention for themselves for keeping things simple, but are always where their teams need them to be and ready to deliver.
