Like her entire team, the senior libero had a difficult start to the match, making uncharacteristic errors, even in serve-receive. Chapman managed to turn the page and got back to her usual level in the second set, being more of a leader for the Spartans. She led the team in passes (21) and digs (14) and also fired an ace. The senior libero was pivotal in the Spartans’ impressive performance. Chapman was excellent in serve-receive, covering a large portion of the court and keeping her team in system the entire time – she had a team-high 16 passes. Her defensive performance was also very solid, generating 11 digs for Seven Lakes and stepping up when dealing with free balls. Chapman also did a good job when setting in transition, registering a pair of assists, fired a pair of aces, and was an emotional leader for her team, keeping the spirits high and helping them go through the moments of pressure.

Champman will be in action with Houston Skyline 17 Black in the 17 Bid division. An extremely technical player, she’s always very focused when she gets on the court and that helps her produce at a very high level, avoiding errors. She’s one of those liberos who don’t draw too much attention for themselves for keeping things simple, but are always where their teams need them to be and ready to deliver. Chapman is very efficient with her deliveries on both passing and defense and also works hard on the backcourt, consistently recovering shanked passes or digs that go off the court.

Chapman played libero for Houston Skyline 16 Black and helped the team finish third with four wins and one loss. A highly technical player, she’s one to get the job done efficiently and consistently, without drawing too much attention to herself. Chapman is always where the team needs her to be and thrives for her reliability, taking control of the court in serve-receive and also playing a major role on defense. The libero also serves very well and contributes with her quickness to recover balls on the back.
