Pendley (pictured) could be asked to lead a young Dunbar team this fall. Pendley sees the defense, puts herself in a good ready position, then makes good decisions on which spikes to use. Pendley angles balls off defenders and can send balls to corners and other zones. Pendley is also a sound passer and serves balls hard. Pendley had 284 kills, 255 digs and 42 aces for the Bulldogs last year, helping them to a 27-9 record, a 43rd District crown and an 11th Region runner-up finish.

Mineer is looking to turn into a solid all-around player for the Valkyries this fall. Mineer attacks from all six spots on the floor, including a powerful swing on the pipe play. Mineer pounds balls to the near corner on one play then to the far one on another play. Mineer makes sound mid-air adjustments. Then on defense, she makes consistent two to three-point passes before quickly changing to offense.

Braden has a good rhythm and places balls nicely away from defenders. Braden takes advantage of her size and vertical to put balls over and around blockers. Braden is also strong from the back row. Braden is able to make things happen offensively with both feet on the ground when the team is out of system. Braden is also a sound passer. Braden had 234 kills, 112 digs and 32 aces, helping the Musketeers go 20-11 last year.

Penick has turned into a solid option for the Rebels. Penick does not hit directly into blocks, but over and to the sides of them. She puts the right amount of power into balls to send them curving to the back row. Penick makes things happen out of system. Penick also does a good job with timing on her blocks. Penick had 227 kills, 16 solo and 24 assisted blocks, helping the Rebels make the 4th Region Tournament last year.

Collier gives the Eagles a nice option to work with. She puts good power into balls with her form. Collier uses her size to control the net. Collier had 135 kills and 30 blocks last fall, helping the Eagles make the 11th Region Tournament.
