Five Athletes Who Crossed State Lines to Raise Their Exposure

The hunger to compete, improve, and be seen doesn't stop at state borders. At the PrepDig Nevada Showcases, a select group of athletes went the extra mile, literally, traveling from out of state to step onto unfamiliar courts, face new competition, and make their presence known.   These five athletes didn't just come to play, they came to make an impression. Whether by plane or long highway stretch, they chose to invest in themselves and their recruiting journey. And they made it count.   In their own words, each athlete shares what excites them about their game, what sets them apart, and what college coaches should know about their work ethic and drive. These are the kinds of players who don't wait for opportunities, they chase them.    Keezie Flannery of Utah made a lasting impression at the PrepDig Nevada Stock Up Showcase, quickly becoming one of the most talked-about setters in the gym. She plays with poise, precision, and an advanced understanding of the game. Keezie was most excited to showcase her decision-making and she did a phenomenal job. She moves the ball strategically to create one-on-one opportunities for her hitters and keeps defenses honest by staying offensive-minded at the net.   What sets Keezie apart is her ability to read the court on the opponent's side and make fast, effective choices. She adjusts her sets based on what the moment calls for, whether that means delivering to the hand of a high-flying hitter or executing a timely dump. Her court awareness and quick thinking consistently put her team in a position to succeed.   Keezie wants college coaches to know that her love for the game fuels everything she does. She is constantly seeking feedback, studying the game, and getting as many reps as possible. She leads through communication and pushes her teammates to elevate their performance, always aiming to bring out the best in the group. She brings sharp reaction time to the court, allowing her to read the ball early and make strong, effective plays on both offense and defense. One of the key strengths that separates Ani from others in her position is her consistency, both in her attacking and defensive efforts. Her game is steady and reliable, and she takes pride in staying composed through every point. Ani wants college coaches to know that she is a dedicated athlete who works hard, stays committed to the process, and is always seeking ways to improve and grow within the game. She earned one of the top honors at a PrepDig Freshman Showcase by being named a Top Performer Outside Hitter. ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247     [player_tooltip player_id='749490' first='Angelia' last='Donnelly'] of California made the trip to the PrepDig Nevada Stock Up Showcase with a clear mission: to bring energy, passion, and leadership to every rep. Her presence on the court was hard to miss. She plays with a positive mindset and makes it a priority to uplift her teammates through vocal support and encouragement. One of Angelia's standout strengths is her coachability. She values feedback and applies corrections in real time, whether the advice comes from a coach or a teammate. Angelia wants college coaches to know that she is fully committed to growth. Her work ethic and determination are reflected in her comeback from an ACL tear in 2023. Through daily effort and focus, she returned to competition at Red Rock Rave just seven months after surgery. Angelia continues to push herself beyond her comfort zone and is driven to improve every time she steps on the court. ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247     Mileena "Mymy" Lapuz of California brought discipline, speed, and heart to the PrepDig Nevada Stock Up Showcase. She plays with a high motor and a deep commitment to defense, showcasing her ability to cover the court with purpose and urgency. Mileena takes pride in her court coverage and hustle, doing everything she can to keep plays alive and give her setter the best possible options. Her communication fuels both her defense and her team's energy, helping them stay focused and connected through every rally.   One of Mileena's standout strengths is her vocal leadership. She communicates constantly before, during, and after each point, directing her attackers, identifying the opponent's tendencies, and lifting the energy of those around her. Her positive presence and ability to lead through words and effort make her a key piece on any back row.   Mileena wants college coaches to know that she plays with relentless determination and a “no ball drops” mentality. She believes in finishing every play with grit and ending every point with encouragement, regardless of the outcome. Her mindset, speed, and leadership make her a valuable libero who plays for more than just the next ball, she plays to elevate her entire team. ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247     Taylor-Marie Corral of California brings energy, effort, and versatility to every point she plays. A multi-sport athlete with a background in softball, she has translated her athleticism and competitive mindset into her volleyball game. At the PrepDig Nevada Stock Up Showcase, she looked forward to showcasing her hustle on defense and her ability to contribute as both an outside hitter and a libero. Her all-around skill set makes her a valuable player in any rotation, and her teammates know they can count on her to bring energy and intensity to every play.   One quality that sets Taylor-Marie Corral apart is her ability to read the game and react quickly. Whether it's making a tough dig or going up for a kill, she stays locked in and gives full effort. Her game sense and consistency make her a dependable presence on the court.   Taylor-Marie wants college coaches to know that she leads with heart. She has served as a team captain in both high school and club, pushing herself and her teammates to work hard and stay focused.
