~I want to play college volleyball because I love the game. I'm also excited to keep improving, compete at a higher level, and be part of a close-knit team that pushes each other to win—and have fun doing it.

What are your strengths and weaknesses as a player?

~My strengths as a player include staying positive on and off the court, reading the court when hitting to score a kill, and putting up a strong block. One of my weaknesses is that I sometimes overthink during games, which can cause me to hesitate instead of reacting quickly. I'm working on trusting my instincts more and staying confident in my decisions, especially under pressure.

What are your strengths and weaknesses as a player?

Why do you want to play college volleyball?

What does your training schedule look like in-season and off-season?

~My in-season schedule for club includes practicing three times a week and playing tournaments every other weekend. In the offseason, I spend a lot of time in the gym working out, and I also attend many camps during the summer.

How do you balance school, sports, and your personal life?

~I balance school, sports, and personal life by prioritizing my academics first, then my personal life, and finally my sports. To succeed in sports, I need to have a stable academic and personal life so I don't overextend myself. My family always comes before sports because they mean so much to me. They have helped shape who I am today by pushing me to work harder and challenge myself.

What are your strengths and weaknesses as a player?

~My strengths include being a leader on and off the court, bringing big energy, being coachable, confident, hardworking, and passionate. My weaknesses include my height in blocking and reading the middle blocker when setting to create one-on-one opportunities for my hitters.

Why do you want to play college volleyball?

~I want to play volleyball in college because it's something I truly love, and it pushes me to improve every day. I enjoy being part of a team, competing, and constantly finding ways to grow both on and off the court. Playing in college would allow me to continue doing what I love while earning an education, which is very important to me. It's a way for me to keep pursuing my goals, both on the court and in the classroom!

What does your training schedule look like in-season and off-season?

~During the high school season, we practice daily after school for about two hours and lift weights three times a week, though lifting can be tough on game days (Tuesdays and Thursdays). We play two games per week and sometimes weekend tournaments. In the postseason, we still practice five days a week and spend more time in the weight room, focusing on team play and individual skills as we approach state.

In club season, we start with two practices per week and shift to scrimmages and live play as tournaments near. I attend skill sessions whenever possible. Though I don't have much of an offseason, I make sure to lift and train on the court, and I also run high school track for cross-training.

How do you balance school, sports, and your personal life?

~I balance school and sports well by doing my homework on the bus or in the car. I have good self-discipline and make sure to schedule meetings with my teachers to catch up on anything I'm missing and plan ahead. I stay organized and work ahead whenever possible. Balancing school, sports, and my personal life isn't easy, but I manage it. Many of my friends come from volleyball, which makes it easy to hang out with them. When I'm not at school or volleyball, I spend time with friends, focus on self-care, and get in the gym.

What are your strengths and weaknesses as a player?

~My strengths include strong court communication—I talk through every play by calling the ball, directing shots for my teammates, and keeping track of what's happening on the other side of the net. I take an active leadership role by encouraging my teammates, addressing challenges, and being a vocal presence for the team. I have great court awareness, volleyball IQ, and excel in both defensive and offensive skills.

My weaknesses include footwork efficiency. When the play speeds up, I sometimes get “happy feet.” I tend to overcommit to balls that aren't mine and occasionally go for balls where a teammate has a better angle. I'm working on trusting my teammates more and communicating earlier, which is sometimes tough in the heat of the moment. I'm pushing myself to talk before plays happen. Lastly, I sometimes pop up too early when anticipating the ball, so I'm focusing on staying low consistently throughout the play.

What are your academic interests or intended major?

~My academic interests include human resource management, business, communication, and possibly interior design.

I hope this gave you a real feel for who these players are—their relentless work ethic, their on-court intensity, and their ability to elevate every play. Watching them perform with fierce serve receive, powerful attacks, and smart court vision has been nothing short of impressive. If these athletes aren't already on your recruiting radar, now is the time to take the jump and scout them live. These are game-changers you want running drills, calling plays, and closing out matches on your roster. June 15th is just the tip of the iceberg—Dakota's next wave of volleyball talent is making their mark, and college coaches are taking notice!
