<p>There were several athletes digging deep and rising high on Saturday at The Volleyball Academy in LaVista, Nebraska. Several athletes showcased their talents and gave us a glimpse of what is in store for the fall high school season. Let's take a look at some super standouts from Saturday!</p>

<p>DC West's junior to be [player_tooltip player_id='773379' first='Ava' last='Newbauer'] is a fantastic setter. She has phenomenal hands and jump sets so well. Her body control at the net is great and her back sets are beautiful! She has good talk and you can sense she has a great sense of humor on the floor! Love her energy and leadership out on the court! Newbauer's ability to shake of errors and focus in on next point is a great mentality to have as a setter and leader. </p>

<p>Immediately after the first swing and kill 6'1” middle [player_tooltip player_id='746931' first='Ruthley' last='Marin'] caught the attention of the scouts. The Millard North junior is strong, athletic and physical. She hits the ball so hard and gets on top of the ball so well. One of her first hits in the machine gun drill was just outside the 10 foot line! Love her explosiveness and physicality at the net! She transitions so well and can hit anywhere along the net. Loved her fire and passion on the floor! Look for Ruthley to have a big year for the Mustangs!</p>

<p>Class of 2027 [player_tooltip player_id='575155' first='Addie' last='Stater'] is a 5'10” outside from Omaha Concordia. She has a strong, fast arm and can jump out of the gym. Another trait that stood out was how explosive she was on the pin, During position drills she took smart line shots. Stater was vocal and a great teammate on the floor. On the defensive drills she had a strong platform and did a nice job of getting balls up and finishing her floor moves. Keep her on your radar for the fall! </p>

<p>Another junior to keep an eye on is Quinn Sanman. The 5'8” pin hitter out of Bennington has a fast arm. Her approach and transition gives her the ability to take great shots. During defensive drills she had great concentration and a smooth platform. Keep eyes on her for the Badgers this fall! </p>

<p>5'5” [player_tooltip player_id='847628' first='Claire' last='Monjarez-Palermo'] is a junior at Bellevue West. The libero/defensive specialist has amazing energy on the floor. It is infectious to those around her and how she approaches defense on the court. She takes a great first step when playing floor defense and finishes her move smoothly. Her digs are high and in the well to give the setter time to get under the ball. Monjarez-Palermo definitely stood out on Saturday! Keep this energetic libero on your radar!</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='575221' first='Brinley' last='Walter'], a 5'10” right side/middle is fun to watch! She has long levers and takes huge swings on the opposite pin. She is lengthy and has a whip for an arm. She is multidimensional and versatile when swinging on the pin or out of the middle. She is quick and can jump! Her approach is quick and she can get up. Keep tabs on this Class of 2028 Millard West Wildcat!</p>

<p>Elkhorn North's [player_tooltip player_id='575239' first='Nora' last='Morgan'] is a Class of 2028 5'9” outside hitter. Her defensive prowess stood out initially during position drills. She has a great platform and plays fantastic floor defense. She has a great arm swing and is quick to transition. She had a successful club season with Club Legacy 15 Alpha. Keep an eye on her for her sophomore campaign!</p>
