Prep Dig Texas was in attendance on Friday, when we got to watch each of the 23 teams in action and follow the development of the first day of matches. We were able to identify several players with incredible potential during the day and are now featuring them. Up next are the outside hitters who had big offensive roles with their teams.

Coleman was one of the pillars of the FBCHA team that topped the standings with six wins and just one set lost. An impactful player on both sides of the ball, the junior was selected for the All-Tournament Team for her strong play. Coleman was very efficient and reliable with her passing and defense, but stood out in an even stronger way for her play at the net. Strong and explosive, she got off the floor well and had a lot of firepower in her right arm, but also displayed great resources to put the ball down in difficult situations. The pin hitter also appeared well with her blocking.

Moriarty was with the Episcopal team that ended up in second place with five wins and one loss. She made it to the All-Tournament Team alongside two other teammates and was pivotal in their strong campaign. The sophomore was the team's most reliable scoring threat, using her high contact and her heavy right arm to consistently put the ball down at the pin. Despite being one of the most explosive and powerful hitters in the event, Moriarty also displayed excellent vision and discipline to use tips and shots to beat blockers and defenders when not set in the ideal conditions.

Blaine was a force at the net for the Concordia Lutheran team that tied for third place after collecting four wins and just one loss. A freshman, she was recognized with an All-Tournament Team selection, being one of just two players on the team to get it. Blaine has excellent offensive potential and showed it during the event, as she used her high contact point and quick right arm to score even in difficult situations. She displayed good versatility, swinging at a high level from the left and the right, and calm and confidence to successfully handle her big scoring load as a freshman.

Cooksen featured for the John Cooper team that tied for third this weekend with a campaign of four wins and one loss. Long and athletic, she was very solid for them at the pin, using her physical tools and firepower to produce at a high level offensively. Cooksen displayed great variation in her swings and did a good job of keeping her errors low. The freshman also displayed interesting blocking skills, getting off the floor well and doing a good job with her positioning - she was also always ready to deal with overpasses, sending them straight down with potent swings.

Kelley was a standout in the FBCHA Varsity Blue team that secured a ninth-place finish with four wins and two losses. An extremely technical player, she was excellent with her shot selection, intelligently using tips to put the ball down in difficult situations. She was frequently set in the middle back position and, despite not being very tall, displayed nice firepower, getting off the floor well and swinging hard. Kelley has superior ball control skills and used them to have prominent roles in her team's serve-receive and defensive systems.

Tessin represented the Duchesne Academy team that ended up in 13th place with one win and four losses. The team's most physical player, she was their go-to scoring option and responded well, putting the ball down consistently and in important moments. Tessin used her length and firepower well to make her swings find the floor, but also had success when she decided to tool opposing blockers instead. She had ups and downs with her passing, but managed to contribute on some rotations.
