2027 Setters to See

She can play strong defense while consistently running an effective and strategic offense tailored to the opponent. Her setting is clean and precise and repeatable to her hitters. She shows great awareness of her hitters, knowing when to speed up the tempo, spread the offense, or feed the hot hand. In addition to her skill, she brings a vocal and energetic presence that lifts up her teammates. With her athleticism, decision-making, and leadership, she is the type of setter every team values. Make sure to keep an eye on Avery this high school season!       [player_tooltip player_id='568821' first='Kylie' last='Martin'], the 6'0" setter is someone who runs her offense with confidence, consistently directing her hitters and calling the right plays to put them in scoring positions. Her leadership on the court shows as she communicates clearly and makes her teammates better. What stood out most was her ability to deliver a strong back set all the way to the right side, even when she's pushed into the 3 or 4 zone from a decent pass. That skill allows her offense to stay balanced and unpredictable, keeping blockers on their heels. She turns any 1 passes into 3s just by her ability to set every hitter from any position.     The 6'1" Dallas setter does an excellent job of utilizing her middles, consistently connecting with them to keep the offense balanced and effective. She switches up her sets often, making her distribution difficult to predict and keeping blockers off rhythm. Her ability to establish the middle early opens up opportunities for her pins and keeps defenses guessing. On top of her offensive command, she brings a strong arm from the service line, where she generates pace and pressure that leads to many aces.     Riley, the Frisco 2027 setter is consistent with her footwork, always getting her feet set to jump set every ball. She shows great court awareness, often going against the flow of the play and pushing the ball out to the outside or back to the right side to keep the defense guessing. Her advanced skill to stay balanced and disguise her decisions makes her offense difficult to read. In addition to her setting, she is a threat from the service line with a strong, aggressive serve that scores points and applies constant pressure. Make sure to actively watch Riley in her junior season of high school!
