Breeze took solid swings per usual. But her defense is an underrated part of her game. CAL had luck shoving balls to the opposite shallow parts of the court early in the game. However, Breeze and her teammates picked up on that and took that away from the Centurions. Breeze also had some big serves in the five-set win for the Valkyries. Breeze had 10 kills, five aces and three digs for Rowan County. Breeze said teams will continue to do things like that if defenses are not able to stop them.

Blair did a good job controlling the middle in Adair County's win over Corbin. Blair used her size well timing up her blocks consistently at least getting touches on balls to help out her teammates. Blair also has a good wrist snap sending balls screaming to the floor and produces serving the ball. Blair had 14 kills, two aces, five digs and three solo blocks in the win against Corbin. She had a .417 hitting percentage landing the 14 kills on 24 attempts with four errors. Blair said the Indians were trying to get their nerves out in the first set. Blair said mixing things up keeps defenders on their toes.

Roy has done a good job trying to help the Centurions pick things up offensively with the loss of their top player for the season to injury. Roy made a lot of things happen on the ones, beating blocks and sending balls hard to the ground. Roy had 14 kills on 34 attempts and just three errors for a .324 hitting percentage in the loss to Rowan County.

Hoffman has turned into the primary setter for the team this year and has done a great job running the offense. Hoffman mixes in a number of short and long sets to both the pins and the middle including back sets. Hoffman said the team can almost always put balls down when the Raiders are in system. Hoffman finished the game against Letcher County Central with 18 assists.

Montgomery has given the Raiders another option in the fast-paced attack. Montgomery sends balls hard to the lines and other parts of the court. She draws attention away from other hitters. Montgomery smacks down overpassed balls. She had seven kills and two aces in the win over Letcher County Central. Montgomery said working together more against county rivals so the chemistry had been developed for scenes like the 2A state tournament and they're able to put balls down better.
