Fall Rankings Update: 2028 Setters

Now it is time to look at the talented kids at each position. [player_tooltip player_id='574175' first='Payton' last='Woodruff'], Country Day/Legacy: </strong>Woodruff has proven herself in every big moment she's encountered. She has the poise of a senior, as well as the skillset and execution. She's among the best setters in this class around the country.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2. [player_tooltip player_id='644142' first='Ava' last='Kiernan'], South Lyon East/Michigan Elite: </strong>A 6'2” setter, Kiernan immediately draws opponents' attention. She's getting to show off her all-around ability this fall, being utilized as a hitter, where she also shows great instincts and vision.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>3. [player_tooltip player_id='664290' first='Heidi' last='White'], East Grand Rapids/MVA: </strong>White is another 6-foot setting option in this class. She pushes a good tempo and spreads the ball out well. She can also be very deceptive, and often finishes on her dumps and attacks, as she's hitting .622 this fall.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>4. [player_tooltip player_id='850734' first='Kyla' last='Kuiper'], Zeeland East/FaR Out: </strong>Kuiper is showing a lot of court IQ thus far, as she's making great decisions with where to put the ball, but also is coming through with a lot of tough defensive plays. She makes sure she's a factor in all phases.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>5. [player_tooltip player_id='579822' first='Addison' last='Dresch'], Dexter/L2: </strong>Dresch is getting a role with a hot Dexter volleyball team this fall, but there are definitely bigger roles coming in the future as she's got the ability to attack, defend, serve, and set at a high level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>6. [player_tooltip player_id='526553' first='Liv' last='Wender'], GR Catholic Central/Legacy: </strong>Wender is a setter/hitter combo that gives her teams some roster flexibility. She's a talented athlete that has been able to find new gears to her game each season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>7. [player_tooltip player_id='765782' first='Abigail' last='Griffin'], Romeo/Legacy: </strong>Griffin has a nice spring off the floor, which allows her to make some aggressive and athletic plays from the setter position. She's not afraid to take some chances and test herself.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>8. [player_tooltip player_id='743769' first='Joeleigh' last='White'], Gull Lake/USA Volleyball: </strong>White is also a combo player that is doing her best to make an impact in all phases. Her defense has made strides, while her hitting and setting shows improvement in technique each month.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>9. [player_tooltip player_id='795567' first='Kendall' last='Sierzputowski'], TC West/Northshore: </strong>One of the top talents in Northern Michigan out of this class, Sierzputowski is having a great fall as a defensive player for TC West. She has a great feel for making a tough dig and should continue to grow as a setter throughout the year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>10. [player_tooltip player_id='765790' first='Piper' last='Ayotte'], Skyline/Michigan Elite: </strong>Ayotte stays very alert throughout each point and has become a great defensive asset for Skyline on top of being an emerging setter.
