Prep Dig Debut Showcase in Richmond this December

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Since I started writing for Prep Dig all of our showcases have either been in the Northern Virginia or Maryland area. On December 20, 2025, Prep Dig will hold an Exposure tour at the [program_tooltip program_id='498495' first='Richmond' last='Volleyball Club'] facility in Richmond, Virginia. This will be an opportunity for those in the Southern Virginia area to showcase their skills at an event that Prep Dig scouts will attend.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Below is a link to the evet held at [program_tooltip program_id='498495' first='Richmond' last='Volleyball Club'] at 2921 Byrdhill Road in Richmond Virginia. Already 25 players have registered to attend the event. My preference is to see players from the Southern Virginia area showcase their skills, especially frosh and sophomores who are just getting started in their careers. No surprise she won a top performer award at the event. During that time, she was already the number one rated prospect in the class of 2027.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Since then she has gone on to play with the U.S. Junior National volleyball team and recently committed to Penn State. She played middle for [program_tooltip program_id='476729' first='Paramount' last=''] 16 last year. One of the more dominating players in the area. During the Mid Atlantic Power League (MAPL) her play helped [program_tooltip program_id='476729' first='Paramount' last=''] defeat Metro 16 and 17. Later in the season Metro 17 would finish third in the Junior Nationals Open Division and Metro 16 would finish second in the Junior Nationals National Division. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Taylor plays for Wakefield where I am told she hits outside. Hunter appeared in our Prep Dig showcase last year in Rockville, Maryland, also winning a top performer award. She played for the Metro 16 team that finished second in the Junior Nationals National Division. For Metro she plays primarily middle. Alyssa also appeared in our Prep Dig showcase last year in Rockville Maryland., another top performer winner. Alyssa played middle for the [program_tooltip program_id='476729' first='Paramount' last=''] 16 team but may have been a bit overshadowed by [player_tooltip player_id='296486' first='Taylor' last='Harrington']. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">The previous year she played for Club 540 where she hit both middle and outside. What many don't realize is that Alyssa can be a dominant outside hitter who passes well when playing back row. For Mountain View I believe she hits outside (I have yet to see them play). At the showcase she went with the middles. While [program_tooltip program_id='476729' first='Paramount' last=''] 16 disappointed in Junior Nationals one should remember that Metro 16 disappointed at Junior Nationals a couple years ago. Last year they finished third in the Open Division. She is also a solid passer who can also defend her position well. With a little more height her ranking would probably go higher. She appeared in our first Prep Dig showcase class at St. James in Virginia. Another player winning a top performer award. Currently she sets for Georgetown Day where she led them to the D.C. State championship. They finished second in the Junior Nationals National Division in Dallas.
