Rankings Preview: Ten 2029 Debut Athletes

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Dig Kansas has scheduled a rankings update for October 28.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Kansas Class of 2029 rankings will now include a total of 175 athletes and feature 65 athletes making their debut in the rankings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Next week will be a heavy content week, as I will feature two more reports on the Class of 2029 rankings, two previews of the state tournaments, and four reports of state coverage from the Class 4A and 3A State Tournaments in Hutchinson.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here is a quick look at 10 athletes who will be entering the rankings based on their successful freshman seasons.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Athletes will want to return next week to see where they landed in the updated rankings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='849449' first='Sloane' last='Cary']</strong>, 5'10”, OH/MB, Trinity Academy, '29</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cary has not played extensively at this varsity level, but she possesses impressive height and the skills to be considered a top prospect. She has 21 kills in 39 varsity sets for the Knights.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='888435' first='Autumn' last='McCormick']</strong>, 5'6”, OH, Osborne, '29</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The number that stands out for McCormick is her total of 74 blocks in 64 sets played for Osborne. Her freshman stat line also includes 46 kills, 40 assists, and 230 digs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='895364' first='Bella' last='Garcia']</strong>, 5'5”, DS/L, Gardner Edgerton, ‘29</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Garcia has proven to be a defensive wizard for the Trailblazers. She has recorded 45 kills in 36 varsity sets played this season.
