Garcia is the anchor to any rotational defense. Her positioning, movement, and footwork make it easy to forget she’s still an underclassman in the contrasting jersey. The recent club season with Dynasty offered a testament to Garcia’s mature feel for backcourt defense, but another year with Gardner-Edgerton has sharpened that command further. She put up a colossal 25-dig performance against Olathe South to add to her growing highlight tape this fall. Even when Garcia isn’t making flashy plays, her leadership and poise will be persistent advantages for the Trailblazers.

Carrying Dynasty’s libero jersey likely comes with some added pressure, especially while competing at the Open level. Garcia is built to handle it. She makes quick first steps to the ball and will readily fill seams in the passing pattern. Garcia thrived in the friendly confines of Kansas City, as shown through Dynasty 15 Black’s run to a Show Me title. However, this summer’s trip to Indianapolis further cemented Garcia’s rise among her defensive peers. She can get it done anywhere.

Garcia is ranked No. 23 overall in the Kansas Class of 2029 and the third-ranked defensive wizard. She arrived on the prep scene with a bang, recording 261 digs and 306 serve receptions in 94 sets played for the Trailblazers. I like her size at the libero position, and she plays with discipline.
