The 2025 prep season has given us enough time to see which players are going to be leaders in their respective categories.

When it comes to the sophomores (Class of 2028), here's a look at the who is racking up the big dig numbers (stats through MaxPreps).

[player_tooltip player_id='887795' first='Emmy' last='Poll'], Hudsonville

Poll has stepped up into the libero role in a big way this fall for Hudsonville, already with 401 digs on the season. She averages nearly 5 per set, and had a high of 26 in a four-set battle with Grand Haven in September.

[player_tooltip player_id='800531' first='Olivia' last='Tyler'], Jonesville

Tyler has raised her game quite a bit from an impressive freshman season. She's at 380 digs on the season, already a career high for the talented defender. Her real standout performance was 35 digs in a five-set classic with Napoleon in September.

[player_tooltip player_id='848766' first='Hadley' last='Wagaman'], Bronson

Bronson has had great liberos in the past and Wagaman looks like she will be among the greats as well. This sophomore has 374 digs on the season for the Vikings. She has a solid 20-dig performance last week against Marshall, but has consistently been a double-digit dig performer.

Porter Johnson, Fruitport

Johnson has been all over the court, putting up 356 digs this fall, averaging 4.7 per set this season. The top performance for Johnson this season was 38 digs in a five-set win over Hopkins in September, She also just had a 32-dig effort in a five-set win over Calvin Christian last week.

Olivia Runnals, Yale

Runnals has been up to the challenge for being a young libero, as she has recorded 337 digs on the year thus far. While she hasn't had a major 30-dig outing or anything, she's been very consistent in her performances, hitting double digits in many matches.

Meg Schreuer, South Christian

Schreuer is having a breakout season for South Christian by tallying 325 digs, while averaging just under 5 per set. She's currently on a 10-match streak of getting at least 10 digs, that includes 26 in a sweep of Thornapple Kellogg.

[player_tooltip player_id='569773' first='Skylar' last='Ignash'], Cass City

One of Cass City's lead hitters, Ignash is proving she's a great asset in the back row as well. She's got 288 digs on the season, averaging four per set while posting nearly as many kills. She's been on another level as of late, posing 34 digs in a five-set win over Reese last week.

Mckenzie Reid, Lake Orion

The Dragons play up against a lot of tough hitters and Reid has been looking great in the back row. She is up to 280 digs on the season after seeing some limited action as a freshman. She's been real steady in her performances, consistently producing about four per set.

Briar Peters, Shelby

An outside hitter that is putting up solid defensive totals, Peters is at 261 digs this fall. In October, Peters has recorded a pair of 20+-dig performances, highlighted by a 22-dig effort in a win over Hart.

Payton Shoemaker, Grant

Another hitter that brings a lot to her defense, Shoemaker has 260 digs this fall. Just this week, she put up a solid 24 digs in a five-set win over Reed City. Shoemaker shows a lot of promise in both phases of the game.
