Impactful WI Players from Small Towns to See This Club Season

Players from small towns often bring a mix of increased athleticism, versatility, and grit to the courts. Despite coming from smaller schools and clubs, these players usually have elaborate skills, flexibility, adaptability, and a high level understanding of the game. The following are some small towns gems that we anticipate to have standout club seasons as they transition their skills over to club from successful high school seasons. Head delivered all season during the school year, averaging 1.2 kills/set and 0.7 blocks/set. Head has a dynamic presence in the middle as she combines a swift, fluid arm swing with powerful, spot on attacks that keep opposing blockers on their toes. Her big net presence often hinders hitters, allows her to close gaps, and brings energy and conviction to the front row, making her a reliable force.     Jacbos is young middle that is already light years ahead of her peers, earning varsity time as a freshman and proving she owns the middle. She has a solid vertical, a fast, heavy arm swing, and can score from out of the middle as well as the pins. Her raw athleticism, ability to adjust mid stride, and her court awareness make her a constant threat on the court. With her playing up two age levels this club season, she's poised to develop her skills and game even faster and we can't wait to see it all unfold.     Jackson is a new player that had a stellar freshman season, as both a setter and attacker on the right pin. She stayed calm in big moments, read the court well, and made smart decisions that put her hitters in the best position to score. Her ability to control the offense with confidence at such a young age was exemplary. After essentially receiving a crash course in high level game strategy her freshman season, she will take her talents to Northern Attack where she will play up two age levels this club season. If Jackson keeps up the pace and level of growth, she is set to become a well sought after, dynamic setter in the class of 2029.     Bauer is a sophomore middle from Eleva Strum that found significant varsity time this past prep season. She will be taking her experience and skills over to Tenacity this club season. She is a quick and versatile middle that likes to run a face paced offense. Her speed and agility also allows her to be a highly effective blocker as she has a good read, makes solid, concise movements, and knows how to position her hands to get block touches instead of being tooled.     Ghelfi is a versatile player, capable of contributing to her team's success in multiple ways. She can hit, she can set, she has a powerful serve, and is a great defender. Over the past couple of years, she has primarily focused on setting which allowed her to fine tune her skills while learning game strategy and enhancing her court awareness. Her versatility, understanding of multiple positions, and high game volleyball IQ allow her to adapt to situations with ease, making her a highly impactful player on the court. This past high school season she earned significant playing time on varsity, where she is likely going to build on that as she brings her skills and leadership to the club courts.
