MN Defensive Specialists Perfecting the Pass

Her communication and energy provide the team with an opportunity to complete big plays. Her volleyball knowledge makes her standout in defense as she reads hitters quickly and with accuracy to provide a controlled pass to her setter. Hitting 500 career digs this past varsity season, it is well deserved by Schumann. This past season her hustle and ball control was immaculate. She rarely let the ball drop in front of her no matter if it was an attack, setter dump, or covering her hitters. She is fast to get to any ball. Her ability to read the hitter and move around the blockers, allows her to rank up numerous digs a set and put the ball in a position for her setter and hitters to make big plays. Meinert has outstanding ball control to keep rallies going. As a back row player, her communication helps her teammates place the ball in open spots on the other side of the net and propel the game forward. This past season, she came out with big force and dedication to the game and her team. She moves quickly and can control the ball to her setter from anywhere on the court. Her positivity and cheerfulness keeps her teammates positive even during tough games.
