5A Senior Talent and The Next Wave of Stars

This pin breakdown for the 5A division is one of reliability, talent, and unwavering commitment. While we celebrate the graduating seniors who leave behind exceptional legacies signifying true leadership and hard work, we also recognize the next wave of players ready to takeover as the next leaders of their programs.   First Team    After being crowned a 2025 5A state champion, [player_tooltip player_id='892961' first='Sitoafa' last='Tausinga'] is also awarded a First Team all-state award. In her first season with the Woods Cross Wildcats, she posted 282 kills, hit an efficient .264%, and had 208 digs. Her fluidity and dynamic abilities help establish her as one of the top outsides in the state. Sito can score from anywhere, play defense, and pass under pressure which makes her a solid 6-rotation outside.     [player_tooltip player_id='836216' first='Milika' last='Satuala'] is a special standout on this list in that volleyball is not her main sport. She is a spectacular basketball player who is committed to play with the Utes at the University of Utah. In her time with the Redhawks, she totaled 1,373 kills, hit a .268%, had 785 digs, and 107 aces. Her athleticism and explosiveness are second to none on this list. Milika is one of those players who you hope and aim to slow down, but you can never truly put a stop on.    Second Team    As a junior this year, [player_tooltip player_id='894153' first='Brylee' last='Howard'] hit a .258%, posted 196 kills, 278 digs, and 35 blocks. She has solid power and range to score through, off, and around a block. She has good IQ and execution to find a way to score from both the left and right. Brylee does a great job getting her feet to the ball and executing when her number is called.     This season [player_tooltip player_id='836730' first='Olivia' last='Surrage'] totaled 326 kills, hit a .229%, and 200 digs. She has solid mechanics and technique in every skill of the game which helps establish her as consistent and reliable outside. Olivia has a fast arm, good anticipation, and energy that helped the Fremont Silverwolves be as successful as they were this season.     In her junior year, [player_tooltip player_id='804821' first='Bailey' last='Bennett'] stepped onto the varsity court as a 6-rotation outside this season. She posted 310 kills on a .207% with 212 digs. She swings high, generates good power, can pass, play defense, and has all the qualities to become a leading force in her class.    Third Team    From Maple Mountain, senior [player_tooltip player_id='898209' first='Karli' last='Smith'] posted 376 kills, hit a.174%, and had 281 digs. She has a fluid approach, gets her feet to the ball, has a good shot selection to manage tough sets, and demonstrates the ability to score from different areas on the court. Karli knows what to do when she's off balance and takes advantage of the opportunity when there's room to find the floor.     In her career with the Thunderbirds, [player_tooltip player_id='894161' first='Livia' last='Eyre'] totaled 684 kills, hit a .205%, and had 464 digs. I think she is one of the players who flew a bit under the radar. She isn't flashy by any means, but she proved to be a strong leader and solid attacker in the toughest moments. She will take a swing at the ball and score regardless of who is on the other side of the net. Livia can pass under pressure, play good defense, and can bounce back after committing an error.     These stats might to be as accurate due to a few games that were not reported, but from what was provided, [player_tooltip player_id='846041' first='Nicole' last='Kluge'] played two years on varsity and posted 384 kills and 203 digs. She has a variety of different tools she utilizes to help her score based off the set and block setup. She can correct her mistakes and bounce back after getting aced or blocked.    Honorable Mention    [player_tooltip player_id='808920' first='Lia' last='Brown'] might not have the flashiest of stats for her intended position, but that is by no means an indicator of how talented she is. She played multiple roles this year for her team and shone regardless. From the stats that were reported, Lia posted 178 kills, hit a .422%, put up 246 assists, 43 blocks, and 204 digs. Sometimes she'd swing on left and right and score, set for a couple rotations, play middle back and rightback defense, and pass in serve receive. Her versatility and willingness shined this season and proved she can do more than just play rightside.     In [player_tooltip player_id='892948' first='Addisyn' last='Beck']'s final season with the Vikings, she posted 193 kills, hit a .241%, and 154 digs. She helped lead her team to a 1st place finish in their region with a 13-1 record. Addie is a stable passer and solid attacker that makes her a reliable 6-rotation outside.     [player_tooltip player_id='894195' first='Paisley' last='Gosney'] was the only 2028 pin to receive an 5A all-state award for this season. As a sophomore for the Redhawks, she posted 266 kills and hit a .221% in the games that were reported. This year for Bountiful, she mainly served as an outside but would occasionally flip to the right. One thing that really stands out about Paisley's game is her ability to play on both pins and deliver. She has the skill and ability to excel at both positions and establish herself as a top pin in her class.     [player_tooltip player_id='805286' first='Elise' last='Williams'] ended her senior season for the Knights with 233 kills, hit a .417%, and 218 digs. She does a good job getting her feet to the ball and taking high rips off the edges of the block when she's out of system. She has good range that helps her score when she is in system and has solid mechanics and technique as a passer.    I did not get the chance to see these players in action this high school season, but the magnitude of these awards does not deserve to go unrecognized!
