The Washington stop of the PrepDig Exposure tour featured nearly 100 athletes competing with energy, talent, and determination. One of the athletes who rose to the occasion was [player_tooltip player_id='702559' first='Alexandra' last='Pelesasa'], a 6'0" MB/OH from Mount Rainier High School graduating in the class of 2028. "Alex" had a tremendous fall high school season; she was the 4A NPSL MVP and helped lead her team to a state tournament appearance.

Her ability to quickly connect and support others around her during position drills and six-on-six competition immediately stood out to court coaches,

Leadership

It was evident that the sophomore middle had worked on her vocal leadership during the school season with the Rams.

Mount Rainier won twelve matches in the NPSL, and Pelasasa posted a 0.373 hitting percentage.

The hard-hitting middle blocker moved effectively offensively and generated kills from multiple areas along the net. She has a powerful, accurate swing and a motor that won't stop.

Defensively, she sets the tone with her outstanding communication and passionate play. When Pelesasa delivers a monster block, she celebrates hard with her teammates to keep the energy flowing. The sophomore

Enthusiam

The Academy Sports Center in Lynwood is about a 45-minute drive (traffic dependent, of course) North on I-5 from Mount Rainier High School. Pelesasa looked comfortable and right at home, encouraging her team and keeping energy high on the court Saturday morning. She was smiling and making eye contact with players she had just met, making sure her squad had a plan as they headed into competitive play.

Alexandra represents everything the Avoli Committed Athlete stands for. She was willing to step in, build connections in a new environment, lead with a smile, and play the game with joy.

Work Ethic

Pelesasa was at her best during the latter part of the Showcase; her determination to transition hard and close the block never wavered throughout the event.

Her team fought hard to win games during the competitive portion of the event, moving to the upper-level courts with Pelesasa leading the way, scoring and defending from the middle, all while demonstrating strong overall skills and the grit to battle for a point.
