This was one of the biggest stop the Michigan Exposure tour has ever seen! With over 150 athletes on tap, spanning eight jam packed courts, the talent in the gym was overflowing and top shelf!

We had some of the biggest names from all over the state, from a healthy dose of the west side prospect to northern Michigan, we also had quite a few out of staters, including an 8th grader from Oklahoma stepping up to the challenge! It was seriously, a stop for the books!

To kick off, let's take a look at the setters running the show in Michigan. We had quite a bit of familiar faces mixed in with a lot of new bodies I had yet to see before! There were a lot of great quarterbacks in the gym, take a look at who stood out!

[player_tooltip player_id='913003' first='Abigail' last='Webster'] - Mt. Pleasant/Mid-Mich Aces

[player_tooltip player_id='913003' first='Abigail' last='Webster'] is a new one on my radar but I really liked what I saw. She's a smaller, yet mighty player. Webster is equipped with disciplined footwork and consistently jump sets to speed up the tempo. Her hands are consistent and was finding a strong connection with many of her hitters throughout the day.

[player_tooltip player_id='443001' first='Zoe' last='Ryan'] - Flat Rock/Michigan Elite

[player_tooltip player_id='443001' first='Zoe' last='Ryan'] is having one heck of a junior year. She is coming off of a high school season that saw her transfer to Flat Rock HS, and after a longer dispute with MHSAA, became cleared to play and totally elevate the program. Ryan led the rams to their first ever state championship appearance. Ryan is quick on the floor and has a high IQ. She's putting her hitters in strong positions to score and has all of the other intangibles you need in the position.

[player_tooltip player_id='918901' first='Isabella' last='Moe'] - Ann Arbor Skyline/Michigan Elite

Just like her club counterpart, Ryan, [player_tooltip player_id='918901' first='Isabella' last='Moe'] is coming into the new year with a big fall behind her. With Ann Arbor Skyline, Moe led the team to an incredible run in the second half of the season. Winning the SEC Championship, coming from behind in the early standings, to a state quarterfinal appearance in Division 1. Moe is the type of setter that can fling the ball all about the court. She does well in high tempo situations and can be quite an effective scorer as a front court setter, too!

[player_tooltip player_id='887818' first='Madison' last='Jewell'] - Grosse Pointe North/Monsters

This is a new player on my radar and I am very intrigued with what I was seeing out of [player_tooltip player_id='887818' first='Madison' last='Jewell']. What I liked most about this setter is that she was loud, in charge and full of grit! Jewell was finding ways to get her hands on the ball and setting a real consistent ball all throughout the day.

[player_tooltip player_id='850734' first='Kyla' last='Kuiper'] - Zeeland East/FaR Out

One of the many west side kids to join the party on the east side of Michigan, [player_tooltip player_id='850734' first='Kyla' last='Kuiper'] is an exciting one to keep high on your list this coming club season. Kuiper is a no stranger to these showcases and it's a great thing. With every appearance, you see this players growth in so many areas of her game. Her touch on the ball has become so much cleaner and it has only boomed her growth in her tempo and location.

[player_tooltip player_id='755280' first='Isabella' last='O'Malley'] - Imlay City/Michigan Elite

Imlay City has become somewhat of an embarrassment of riches lately when it comes to the setting department. With the likes of [player_tooltip player_id='226904' first='Emma' last='Keeping'] and [player_tooltip player_id='490335' first='Makayla' last='Bruman'] to learn from, [player_tooltip player_id='755280' first='Isabella' last='O'Malley'] has taken many notes from these high caliber players. O'Malley is a bit smaller than those two but she still brings a real solid, complete game. Her setting was very crisp throughout the day alongside her defense and court leadership.

[player_tooltip player_id='782372' first='Lindsey' last='Nagel'] - Saline/Michigan Elite

This is another freshman that I am curious to keep some eyes on over the next few years. [player_tooltip player_id='782372' first='Lindsey' last='Nagel'] stood out almost immediately, despite never watching her live before. The thing that jumped most off of the page was her delivery of the ball. Her footwork was neat, her hand positioning never waivers and her location was continuous. She didn't need to do anything flashy to grab attention, just to take care of the littlest of details.

[player_tooltip player_id='919979' first='Alexis' last='Crawford'] - Gull Lake/Dead Frog

At first glance, I almost mistook this player for older sister. Recent Gull Lake grad, Sophie Crawford, while similar in looks, they also bring a very similar sense in their game too. [player_tooltip player_id='919979' first='Alexis' last='Crawford'] is an aggressive setter. She has all the tools she needs to set any ball around the court. Her size allows her to push the tempo and also become a threat at the net as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='888944' first='Stella' last='Whirley'] - Salem/Michigan Elite

There were many freshman on tap for the Expo tour and [player_tooltip player_id='888944' first='Stella' last='Whirley'] was right there with the best. I am really excited to see this one's game evolve throughout the next few years. She has the size and intangibles to be a strong all around player. Whirley was connecting well with so many different hitters throughout the expo and looked strong in other aspects as well.
