UHSAA 3A: Leaders at the Pin

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Turning our attention to the 3A division, many pins showcased their versatility, raw talent, and passion. I have had the opportunity to see some players play live and a few I have not. In her career with the Knights, she posted 733 kills and 256 digs. She's not a power-heavy attacker, but her high point of attacking, shot selection, and range help her score frequently when she's in rhythm. She was #1 overall for the '25 season with 624 kills and hit an impressive .269. In her career with the Union Cougars, she has so far recorded 1,137 kills and 909 digs. Rowen has good range, sense of timing, explosiveness, and fluidity in her approach that help her dominate at the net. Despite being on the shorter side for her position, she shows her ability to score despite the size of the block in front of her. Kinzlee generates adequate power to disturb defenses and plays with passion. Standing at 5'10, she has adequate range to score but is still continuing to develop and expand that area of her game. She generates both strong pace and power behind the ball down the line and cross body. She is a scrappy defender and can read hitters in defense quickly to make the right move to the ball. So far in her career at Delta, she's put up 679 kills and 766 digs. She has a high, "whippy" arm swing with good eye work to navigate her attacks to different areas of the court with a block in front of her. While she's still developing technically, at 5'10 Jerzy elevates well, gets her feet to the ball, and has solid range to score. Kambree is a steady, reliable 6-rotation outside that contributes consistently whether she is passing, attacking, or playing defense. She may not be technically perfected yet, but she works hard and her athleticism helps her in different aspects of her game. Her effort and competitiveness help her create effective attacks and capitalize when she gets the opportunity. Ruby has good sense of timing and physicality as a blocker at the net. Standing at 6', she can elevate and unload on a ball down the line or into the angle. Avy has a quiet platform and efficient footwork to track the ball in serve receive. She recorded 245 kills and 112 digs in her last season with the Carbon Dinos.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Several other athletes also made the awards list, but I either did not have the opportunity to watch them or could not find much film of them playing. However, the magnitude of these awards does not deserve to go unrecognized and I look forward to seeing them play in the future.
