Champions Crowned at Prep Dig Resolution

We're Back! Prep Dig crowned three champions at the Prep Dig Resolution 1 at the Community First Champion Center in Appleton where this weekend was all about the 12s-14s. Here is a quick recap:

FC Elite 12 Navy Takes 12s Title

FC Elite 12 Navy blazed through the tournament with a 5-0 record over the weekend, but did have some dramatic moments. They had a three set win over FDL Fusion 12 Purple 21-25, 25-18, 15-5.  In the championship vs. Heat 12 Red it would be another three set thriller 25-18, 18-25, and set three 15-4. 

Athletes include: Liberty Cisler, Shay Ebben, Peyton Herriges, Delilah Kees, Kendall Krowiorz, Katie Leonard, Abby Moua, Delaney Neilitz, Leyna Olearnick, and Aubree Rhodes. Coaches are Luke Herriges and Ashley Herriges. 

13s Dominated By FC Elite 13 White

Only one set was dropped by FC Elite 13 White who dominated the 13s Division of the Prep Dig Resolution. They blazed through their pool and crossover match on Saturday which set up a semifinal gold bracket match on Sunday against FC Elite 13 Blue where they won 25-16, 25-17 which set up a championship match against a scrappy Oak Creek K-Force squad.  After splitting the first two sets, FC Elite 13 White used aggressive serving, clean ball control, and some strong performances by Blair Wunderlich on the outside and Molly Randall out of the middle to take the title 15-9 in set three. 

Athletes include: Nevelyn Irwin, Addy Klatt, Lydia Vande Hey, Ava Neilessen, Molly Randall, Charlotte Biechler, Maegan O'Reilly, Kiki Giese, Blair Wunderlich, and Georgia Benesh. The team is coached by Jeff Vanden Heuvel and Renee Vanden Heuvel

Heat Overcomes Slow Start To Take 14s Title

Heat 14 Flame dropped their opening match to FC Elite 14 Grey at 8 AM Saturday morning and then fought their way back into a chance for the gold bracket.  Sunday would be four matches for this squad to win the title which is tough for any tournament.  They defeated Keweenaw 14 VBC out of Upper Michigan followed by FC Elite 14 Blue, FDL Fusion 14 Purple, and an intense championship match Wisconsin Flight where they survived two close sets winning 27-25, 29-27.
