Chasing Bids: MLK Kansas City

This weekend, teams will converge on downtown Kansas City for the ASICS MLK Qualifier. Here is the who and where for the weekend. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>18 Open</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In the open division, five teams with ties to Missouri will battle it out for one of the available bids. In Pool 2, KC [program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last=''] 18-1 and Pohaku 18-1 will start off the chase. [player_tooltip player_id='261289' first='Ella' last='Anderson'], who prepped at Liberty, and [player_tooltip player_id='222074' first='Parker' last='Kimball'] from Park Hill are a couple of featured players on the [program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last=''] squad. Kimball's Park Hill teammate, [player_tooltip player_id='222072' first='Brooke' last='Brown'], makes the jump this year over to Pohaku. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In Pool 3, Dynasty 18 Black will open up play led by Park Hill South's [player_tooltip player_id='838860' first='Sydni' last='Lafasciano'], a six-rotation outside who will play next year at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs. Rounding out the bunch in the final pool are Mavs 18 Elite and HPSTL 18 Royal. [player_tooltip player_id='828531' first='Kali' last='Adamec'] prepped at Odessa and is joined by Adrian's [player_tooltip player_id='237005' first='Olivia' last='Engeman'], who will be on the Mavs team. They are a team full of players from the Missouri Northland of Kansas City. PVA 18 Elite will start action in Pool 2. All-State defender Gia DeRose, who just recently committed to Graceland University, is a player to watch in the back row. HP South 18 Premier will be in the final pool attempted to earn a USA bid.
