What immediately stands out about [player_tooltip player_id='528761' first='Taylor' last='Toomay'] is how naturally she fits into multiple roles without disrupting tempo or structure. Her ability to transition seamlessly between outside hitter and back-row responsibilities reflects a strong technical foundation and advanced understanding of the game. In serve-receive, she stays disciplined with her platform and consistently delivers in-system balls under pressure, giving setters flexibility to move the set around. When attacking from the pin, she uses a clean approach and high contact point to create scoring opportunities through placement and range rather than forced swings. But don't get me wrong, this young lady has terminating power at her disposal any time she wants it. While blocking at the net, her 6'0” frame allows her to close space effectively and influence attacks even when she doesn't record the block. Defensively, she reads early and moves efficiently, turning tough swings into controlled transition opportunities. Long term, Toomay projects as a high-trust, six-rotation player whose adaptability and repeatable mechanics translate well to higher levels. We have seen her progress so much over the last two years and there is no doubt in my mind that she has so much more potential. This young lady is poised for a solid season this year and I strongly recommend all college coaches to give her a few looks.

From a technical evaluation standpoint, Landry McRae brings a well-rounded skill set to the setter/right-side role in the class of 2028. At 5'11”, she has the size to be effective at the net while maintaining the mobility required to run a fast offense. College coaches will love her size, speed, and power that she brings to the table. As a setter, McRae sets from a balanced base and shows the ability to square to target, even when forced to move laterally or set from off-system positions. Her hands are clean, and she demonstrates an understanding of tempo, adjusting release speed to match hitter approach patterns rather than forcing uniform timing. When attacking on the right side, she uses smart shot selection, mixing pace and placement to exploit block positioning. Defensively, she reads well at the net and closes with intent, using her length to take away seams rather than drifting. In transition, she makes efficient decisions and keeps rallies organized, a trait that reflects strong volleyball IQ. There is no doubt in my mind that she can run a fast-paced college level system in a few years. Long term, McRae projects as a system-flexible hybrid who can influence matches through both decision-making and physical presence.

From a coaching standpoint, [player_tooltip player_id='761993' first='Isabella' last='Osborn'] stands out as a back-row defender whose game is built on efficiency, consistency, and repeatable technique. At 5'4”, she plays with a low, balanced posture, allowing her to move cleanly in all directions and stay stable through first contact. In serve-receive, Osborn shows disciplined footwork and strong platform control, consistently angling passes to target rather than simply keeping the ball in play. She reads servers well, adjusts her starting position early, and minimizes late movement, which improves her passing accuracy. Defensively, she tracks hitters effectively and uses anticipation rather than reaction, putting herself in position before the swing occurs. Her pursuit angles are clean, and she does a good job controlling digs into playable space instead of overextending. Osborn communicates well in the back row and helps organize coverage responsibilities, a trait that coaches value at the libero position. Speaking of her emergency techniques, defensively, she is one of the best in the business at handling fast-paced attacks. Equipped with lightning quick fast-twitch muscle fibers that rival Spiderman, she can use her entire body to keep the ball from hitting the floor. I have personally been amazed and my jaw was left hanging after witnessing some stellar digs. This young lady is a “can't miss” recruit who needs to be on everyone's short list of liberos to watch.
