HOA Power League Day 1: 15U Off and Running

Both teams showed consistency and composure throughout the day, controlling matches from start to finish and establishing themselves as teams to watch as the weekend progresses. [program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last=''] features a couple of standouts who helped lead Oak Grove to one of its best seasons in the school's history, with [player_tooltip player_id='557372' first='Piper' last='Hudson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='443102' first='Emma' last='Brown']. Lee's Summit North's [player_tooltip player_id='886202' first='Nylah' last='Rinard'] is also a fixture on this team after being instrumental in the Broncos' state runner-up, totaling close to 300 kills on the year. Missouri players competing for Dynasty this season include [player_tooltip player_id='793164' first='Summer' last='Fogel'], who made an impact right away for Belton. Park Hill South's [player_tooltip player_id='913143' first='Ellie' last='Gibbs'] had a good season as a setter and opposite. St. Joe Benton's [player_tooltip player_id='909862' first='Kiya' last='Cook'] is also on this roster with Park Hill's [player_tooltip player_id='909863' first='Tessa' last='Redmond']. Cook contributed to the varsity squad and expect Redmond to be a feature in the Trojan line-up next year on the outside. [player_tooltip player_id='909864' first='Logan' last='Winkley'] is a Raymore-Peculiar standout. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>PVA 15-1 also impressed, posting a 4–1 record on the day. Their only setback came against the undefeated KC [program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last=''] 15-1 team. Despite the loss, PVA demonstrated depth and resilience, positioning themselves well heading into Day 2. This team also features prep players from Missouri schools. [player_tooltip player_id='747598' first='Maren' last='Daugherty'] attends Lee's Summit proper. [player_tooltip player_id='888986' first='Aleah' last='Ulberg'] had a productive freshman season for Truman on the pin. [player_tooltip player_id='909872' first='Talia' last='Francis'], like the above-mentioned Rinard, was an impactful freshman for Lee's Summit North and will be in the middle for this team. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mavs KC 15-1 and [program_tooltip program_id='698098' first='573' last='[program_tooltip program_id='490801' first='Missouri' last='Juniors']'] finished the day at 3–2, staying firmly in the mix. Both squads had moments of strong play and will look to build momentum as bracket play approaches. 573 is full of Missouri prep players, and we will highlight that team as a whole in the coming weeks. The Mavs have a handful of Missouri players. Liberty North's [player_tooltip player_id='747511' first='Cora' last='Lemasters'] and Ray Pec's [player_tooltip player_id='909867' first='Ashlynn' last='Patla'] are a couple of those players who saw junior varsity action in 2025.
