Hudson was a major reason both Oak Grove last fall and KC Power this summer enjoyed the success they did. The sophomore southpaw is ready for Year 2 after an impressive freshman season in which she delivered 474 kills while finishing with a kill percentage close to 50 percent. She already proved she can terminate at a high rate, and with another year of experience under her belt, there is plenty of reason to expect even more this fall. One area where I expect Hudson to become even more potent is attacking from the back row, adding another weapon to an already dangerous offensive game. Don’t expect a sophomore slump here.

We’re filling our lefty opposite quota with this one. Like Dynasty 15 Black, KC Power 15-1 entered Show Me with a 15 Open bid already in the bank. That didn’t stop Hudson from maintaining her dominant form anyway. This high-flying southpaw generates angles that opposing blockers aren’t used to seeing. Hudson thrives on quick tempos behind the setter that allow her to capitalize on any window she’s given. We shouldn’t be surprised to see Hudson running the show after she produced nearly 500 kills in her debut fall season on Missouri’s prep circuit. Her potential career numbers are mind-boggling.

Piper is a standout in an exceptional 2029 class for Oak Grove, helping the team reach the Final Four semifinals with an undefeated record. She averages 4.7 kills per set and boasts a hitting percentage of .340. In addition, Piper averages 3.2 digs and 1.1 aces per set. She leads her team with 288 digs, ranks second in kills with 419, and is among the top three passers on the squad.
