There was more action outside the 18s, who were attempting to earn bids at ASICS MLK in Kansas City. Here are some players not on 18s teams that stood out over the weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='830841' first='Camryn' last='Minatee'] - [program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last=''] 17 Black - LIbero

I have seen Minatee play primarily as an undersized outside over the years. When I saw her in the libero jersey, I was intrigued. Upon checking in on a couple of matches, she's legit. Her quickness, anticipation, and reflexes allowed her to get touches on numerous balls and keep the rally going. She quickly puts herself in the conversation as a top libero prospect in this class in Missouri.

[player_tooltip player_id='666872' first='Payton' last='Osegueda'] - Mizuno [program_tooltip program_id='515493' first='Club' last='North'] 17IB - OH

Osegueda is a player I wanted to see in the back row more, and I saw that over the course of the weekend. I was pleased overall with her passing and back row defense, and you can see the work being put in to improve. As crazy as it sounds, I was also happy with some of her hitting errors. What I saw was her attempting different shots in her toolbox, which is another big piece in her development. Reminder, shes playing up a year this season and held her own.

[player_tooltip player_id='694786' first='Ada' last='Grzella-Skibiski'] - [program_tooltip program_id='428892' first='PVA' last=''] 16 Elite - OH

Ada made the move to [program_tooltip program_id='428892' first='PVA' last=''] this season and is the same explosive attacker on the outside. I saw her in action a couple of times, and she appears to have fit in well with her Kansas City team.

[player_tooltip player_id='729548' first='Kinley' last='Carr'] - Mizuno [program_tooltip program_id='515493' first='Club' last='North'] 16 Mike - S

Carr and a couple of her teammates made the list, as I probably had eyes on them the most. Carr did a great job of running the offense for a [program_tooltip program_id='515493' first='Club' last='North'] team that finished second in the 16 division, while going 9-1.

[player_tooltip player_id='800417' first='Jordan' last='Jobe'] - Mizuno [program_tooltip program_id='515493' first='Club' last='North'] 16 Mike - OH

Jobe showed she can score in many facets of the game over the ten-game stretch. One of the areas of her game that made me smile was the fact that she wants the ball in a must-score situation. She displays good court awareness and is a player I look forward to following more as the season progresses.

Ava Sakic - Mizuno [program_tooltip program_id='515493' first='Club' last='North'] 16 Mike - MB

Though Sakic is undersized for a middle, her athleticism and [program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last=''] made her a match-up problem offensively for her opponents. Her ability to get up and hang in the air allowed her to see open spots around the court and get kills.

[player_tooltip player_id='518357' first='Lily' last='Windberg'], [program_tooltip program_id='430200' first='KC' last='[program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last='']'] 16-2 - OH

Windberg is another player I liked due to her demanding of the ball when her team needed points. She used her line and cross-court shots with much success from the left pin.

There was more action outside the 18s, who were attempting to earn bids at ASICS MLK in Kansas City. Here are some players not on 18s teams that stood out over the weekend.
