Behind every viral clip, clean highlight, or big moment is a pattern of preparation, consistency, and intent that doesn't always show up on the scoreboard. This week's Social Media Stars of the Week: The Work Behind the Wins highlights athletes who are using their platforms the right way, not just to celebrate results, but to show how they train, how they think, and how they show up when no one is watching. For college coaches, that context matters. It's often the work you don't see on game day that tells the clearest story of who an athlete really is. I try to be an example for players on and off the court that encouragement and hard work go a long way and always giving you 1000%. </blockquote>   📲 Why This Post Mattered   <blockquote class="wp-block-quote"> Being featured on PrepDig makes me very happy and excited because I know that there are a lot of good players, and it is nice to know that my hard work is being seen. Even though I'm too young to be recruited, it feels good to be recognized. My motivation for creating the post is to show my love for volleyball and to motivate other people to work hard. </blockquote>   🧠 What Coaches Should Know   <blockquote class="wp-block-quote"> On the court, I am very dedicated to volleyball and give my thousand percent through my whole practice and all of my games, and I strive to be the very best version of myself. Off the court, I give the same energy toward everything else I do, like academics and other activities, and continue to go to the gym and get my reps in for volleyball. On the court, if I'm having a bad day, I will never bring negativity toward my teammates or let it affect my practice. I have independently paid all of my club volleyball fees by collecting recycling. On the court, I strive to be a vocal leader and play with intensity and confidence. The connection I have built as a libero with my setter has really helped me understand the game of volleyball at a deeper level and has not only helped me, but has also benefited my hitters by getting them the sets they need. To add on, my ball control has also increased as I have practiced keeping a strong, positive mindset during the game and staying calm under pressure. With these skills, I have noticed a change in my passing. With good passing and ball control, I feel like it has helped me stand out as a more consistent passer and more people noticing the pass before the hit. At every level, passing controls the game. A hitter can't get a good hit without the pass, and with good ball control, you can help your team succeed. The quote “A great passer creates points for the entire team” is something I refer to and stand by when passing. </blockquote>   📲 Why This Post Mattered   <blockquote class="wp-block-quote"> When I got featured on PrepDig CA, I felt like it was an amazing opportunity for me and my athletic goals, as it gave me more exposure on social media. Social media is an important tool that athletes are using now to expose their game and skills that not all see. This exposure helped not only my followers see my work, but also allowed other coaches and clubs to see the extra reps being put in on and off the court. When creating the post, I wanted to show others that my teammates and I in the video will always put in the extra effort to get better. I think it's important for young athletes to show their work and expose themselves to show the world the extra reps being put in. </blockquote>   🧠 What Coaches Should Know   <blockquote class="wp-block-quote"> Something I want college coaches to know about me is that I will always put in 110% effort into everything I do. When on the court, I always make sure to maintain focus during the game no matter the circumstances. I am a really dedicated athlete, and I am always willing to learn and try new things to help improve my skills. If there is something I am struggling with, you will definitely see me on the court working hard to improve that skill. Not only do I put a lot of effort into the game of volleyball, but I also put a lot of effort into academics.
