is the exact kind of athlete that could show up in the Bay some day. She plays right side with the kind of versatility that gives a coach options, comfortable attacking from the pin or sliding into the middle without losing effectiveness. She adjusts her platform early to incoming balls and uses her athletic frame to cover the court, which keeps her in system even when the play isn’t clean. Her arm swing carries real weight, and she pairs it with a strong snap through contact that makes her attacks difficult to read. Her last two steps into the approach close fast, giving her the timing to swing through sets that arrive late. She brings good athleticism for her size and moves well in the front row, where she’s already a threat at the block. Arianne is excited to have a professional team in her own backyard, eager to watch the level of competition Signal brings and study the systems a professional roster runs.

earned Top Performer at the NorCal StockUp Showcase, August 14, 2026.
Arianne adjusts her platform well to whatever is coming at her, getting her tall frame into place and keeping her contact clean. Her arm swing carries real weight, and she closes the last two steps to the ball with the kind of speed that lets her get all the way through her swing. She plays with versatility that stands out, comfortable on the pin or in the middle, and her athleticism and court movement hold up regardless of where she lines up. Her hands stay clean at the net, and she is a legitimate threat in the front row.

Arianne Paulsen’s Nationals performance comes with a number worth celebrating: ten kills on ten attempts across three sets, in the last match of the day against a team her squad badly wanted to beat. She credits staying available to her setter and trusting her shot selection, and the number speaks for itself. A hitter doesn’t put together a run like that without reading the block well on nearly every single swing.
That same competitive energy carries into how she talks about life away from the court. She isn’t easily embarrassed, she and her dad are proud self-described goofballs in public, and her list of hobbies, woodworking, cars, guitar, hiking, shows someone who’s genuinely curious and up for anything. This summer she’s targeting college camps and high school tryouts while building strength and vertical.

Arianne’s weekend showed how hitters can impact the match even when the role shifts.
I never really served or played back row… but I gave two tough serves during set point and stayed calm under pressure.
That ability to step into a new role and stay composed adds value beyond attacking.
Her growth this season has been in out-of-system scoring.
“After practice and one-on-ones, I can confidently hit the ball and get kills out of system.”
That confidence is exactly what allows hitters to produce when the play is not perfect.
Off the court, she emphasizes work ethic and setting the tone for team culture.

defines her strongest skill as her mindset, and she means it. Determination, willingness to go for it, and an attacking attitude shape how she plays. She is consistently working on defense through one-on-one training, with a clear goal of becoming a stronger defender who lifts her team’s level. Off the court, Arianne brings a rare level of balance and discipline. She has traveled to 27 states, has been homeschooled for much of her education, and is currently completing both sophomore and junior math courses in the same year. She works out almost daily, has played piano for a decade, and has ridden horses since she was five. Coaches looking for driven, well-rounded athletes will recognize how that discipline translates to the court.

💡 Game You’re Proud Of
The part of my game I am most proud of is my hitting – specifically the speed and placement of my swings. I also take pride in my aggressive mentality, both in the front row and the back row, and my willingness to attack in every opportunity.
📲 Why This Post Mattered
Having my videos shared on PrepDig’s page not only is a great way to get exposure, it also gives me a lot of confidence and helps me know that I am on the right track from a social media standpoint.
🧠 What Coaches Should Know
A few things I would like college coaches to know about me are that I have earned a 4.56 high school GPA. I have independently paid all of my club volleyball fees by collecting recycling. On the court, I strive to be a vocal leader and play with intensity and confidence. I am passionate about both defense and offense and am dedicated to improving my game every day.

Arianna Paulsen
Arianna impressed with her ability to hit with range—deep cross, sharp wrist-away, and a confident line swing when the blocker cheated inside. She thrives in fast-tempo patterns and was one of the best at adjusting mid-air to sets that drifted. Her court awareness separated her from the pack; she consistently attacked open space rather than swinging blindly into size. ~Theresa @prepdigdakotas
What to expect this club season: Arianna continues to refine her backcourt work and out-of-system footwork. Expect her to emerge as a high-IQ opposite capable of creating offense even when rallies get messy.
