Who stood out at the Tour of Texas this weekend? The Lone Star State and six other states will be battling it out early in the club season to put their lineups to the test. Almost every one of these teams in the invitational divisions will most certainly earn a coveted bid to USA Volleyball Junior Nationals later on this summer. Let's take a look at who earned our Top Performer award for this tourney?

[player_tooltip player_id='580651' first='Aubrey' last='Morrison'] delivered a complete, high-impact performance at the Tour of Texas Austin Stop, earning Top Performer recognition through her six-rotation consistency and technical precision. Already listed on the Prep Dig Texas Watch List, Morrison showed play that suggests a ranking update is imminent as she continues this level of production. From a ball-control standpoint, her serve-receive and defensive work was exceptionally clean, marked by disciplined posture, balanced movement, and precise platform angles. She covered significant ground out of middle back, reading attackers early and turning tough swings into controlled transition opportunities. Offensively, Morrison operated on another level, attacking aggressively while also showing the maturity to find seams and exploit defensive gaps rather than forcing low-percentage swings. Her ability to score efficiently without sacrificing ball control made her a steady point producer throughout the day. With her combination of technical skill, court awareness, and competitive confidence, Morrison firmly established herself as one of the standout performers in Austin and a player trending quickly upward in the 2028 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='722139' first='Sierra' last='Seal'] stood out at the Tour of Texas Austin Stop with a composed and polished performance that earned her Top Performer recognition among a deep field of setters. At 5'5”, Seal played with impressive poise, consistently showing soft, clean hands as she delivered hittable balls to all of her dynamic attackers. From a technical standpoint, her location was sharp and repeatable, even as tempo and set placement changed under game pressure. She remained calm and in control against some of the strongest teams in the tournament, never forcing the offense and instead letting the game come to her. Her decision-making stood out, as she read blocking schemes well and made quick adjustments to keep defenders off balance. Teammates clearly trusted her leadership, relying on her to manage critical moments and maintain offensive rhythm. With her precision, confidence, and ability to execute under pressure, Seal proved she belongs at this elite level.

[player_tooltip player_id='739155' first='Ashlynn' last='Proctor'] put on a clinic at the Tour of Texas Austin Stop, earning Top Performer recognition and showing exactly why she is ranked No. 6 overall in the 2028 class by Prep Dig California. At 5'11”, Proctor separated herself with elite court vision, reading the block while still in the air and effortlessly slicing the ball into uncovered seams. Her ability to score at will stood out, as opposing defenses struggled to find any consistent way to slow her down across multiple matchups. From the back row, she was equally impressive, patrolling middle back with advanced defensive instincts and consistently turning hard-driven attacks into controlled digs. Her reads on the ball were immediate and precise, reflecting a high volleyball IQ on both sides of the net. What makes her special is the way she blends physicality with intelligence, attacking with purpose rather than relying solely on power. Performances like this make it clear why Proctor is regarded as one of the top players in her class and a difference-maker wherever she steps on the court.

Stay tuned as we will have some awesome articles covering as many awesome players and teams as we can from this tournament. If you have anyone you think we should watch out for, please shoot me an email with some info at Michael@prepdig.com. Also don't forget to help these kids get more exposure by sharing our stories with your friends. Help us help them by simply reposting on X or Instagram or sharing on Facebook. Thanks for following Prep Dig Family!
