Three more Purples grace the roster in junior setter [player_tooltip player_id='741315' first='JoEllen' last='Marshall'], junior middle/outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='763869' first='Hayden' last='Price'] and junior middle blocker [player_tooltip player_id='827008' first='Layah' last='Britt'].</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Greenwood junior [player_tooltip player_id='943254' first='Lauren' last='Smith'] and two Warren East juniors in [player_tooltip player_id='785432' first='Mary' last='Grace Jackson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='774211' first='Caylie' last='Hoffman'] are defensive specialists. Two Greenwood junior teammates in setter [player_tooltip player_id='484438' first='Lila' last='Whittinghill'] and middle/outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='935771' first='Sadie' last='Turpin'] round out the roster.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Allen Whittinghill and Ken Marshall are the co-head coaches. She does a great job setting up hitters at the tops of their peaks so they can hit balls over and around blockers then to the ground. Marshall continues to refine a number of sets such as ones and back sets. Marshall uses a good platform to dig up balls and start the offensive flow. Marshall also scores a good bit of points with her solid serves. Price has a good combination of speed and placement on her hits. Price can take solid swings from the middle and outsides then step back and put across nice roll shots. She sees hitters well and squares up her shoulders to balls to make solid passes. Smith sets her feet before balls arrive. Smith deposits tough line drive serves to different parts of the court.
