Marshall (pictured) brings plenty of experience into her senior year. She does a great job setting up hitters at the tops of their peaks so they can hit balls over and around blockers then to the ground. Marshall continues to refine a number of sets such as ones and back sets. Marshall uses a good platform to dig up balls and start the offensive flow. Marshall also scores a good bit of points with her solid serves. Marshall had 657 assists, 167 digs and 58 aces, helping the Purples go 38-4, win several tournaments including the 14th District and 4th Region ones then drive to the state quarterfinals.

Marshall understands her hitters strengths well and puts the hitters in position to succeed. Marshall moves her feet quickly and places balls to the peek of the hitters’ vertical jump so they can hit balls over and around blockers. Marshall is especially sound running shoots. Marshall has good placement on her serves. Marshall said passing wins games so it’s a huge point of emphasis for the Purples, especially with the hitting depth they have.

Marshall may be a quiet individual off the court, but she’s driven and makes the most of the talent around her. Marshall can put balls high and wide to the plethora of tall and talented hitters around her. She sets her feet well to put her body in position to make the good sets. Marshall also squares her body up well on defense to make precise passes.

Marshall (pictured) is probably the biggest addition to this round of the rankings. Marshall stepped into a huge role for the Purples in the fall and came through in a big way to help Bowling Green go on a deep postseason run. Marshall mixes up short and long sets including a number of back sets without leaning to tip off blockers. Marshall continues to put her teammates in position to succeed. She is also solid on defense hustling then squaring her arms up to them for solid two to three-point passes. Marshall had 973 assists and 146 digs to help Bowling Green go 34-7, win the 14th District and 4th Region crowns and drive to the state quarterfinals.

Marshall has delivered in an important role in a big way for the Purples this year. Marshall does a number of short and long sets including back sets. She places balls where her the tall Purple hitters can be successful. Marshall is also valuable on defense for the Purples. She anticipates balls well hustling to them, then squaring her arms up to make nice passes. Marshall also does well with net coverage. Marshall had 750 assists and 110 digs on the season entering Saturday.
