They didn't just evaluate outcomes, they reflected on decisions, adjustments, energy, and accountability in real time. Each athlete shared how they impacted their team, what feedback they received, and how they plan to apply it moving forward. These are athlete-led evaluations curated for college coaches who value competitive mindset, self-awareness, and growth habits. The responses offer a clear look at how these players think the game, respond under pressure, and carry themselves both on and off the court. She was also proud of her controlled passing in tight situations and credited strong team communication and energy as a key factor in their success. Looking ahead, she is focused on improving overall consistency, particularly from the service line, noting how directly it has influenced match outcomes. Off the court, Davis serves as secretary of her school's Black Student Union and is preparing to speak at a local elementary school on the importance of standing against discrimination and hate. She was proud of her overall serve receive and her ability to reset quickly after mistakes, maintaining consistent energy throughout the day. Defensively, she took immediate coaching feedback to heart, adjusting her stance and positioning in left back and seeing noticeable improvement as the day progressed. Off the court, Hawley was recently nominated for Link Crew President at her school and enjoys line dancing with friends. She took confidence in her float serve placement and noted that her vocal support and competitive drive helped push her team throughout the event. Her main area of focus moving forward is serve receive, specifically refining platform positioning and body alignment to improve consistency. Away from the court, Martinez enjoys reading and creating, values being around people, and recently earned over 100 percent on her first math test of the semester, a confidence boost she is proud of. She consistently contributes by analyzing opponents and communicating priorities to her teammates, a habit she believes has played a role in her team's undefeated season so far. Her next focus is continuing to improve serve receive and strengthening on-court communication during live play. Off the court, Amaya is a member of her high school choir and has performed internationally, including in China, as well as recently at LA's Annual Ethical Leadership Lunch. Blocking stood out as a major impact skill, helping slow opposing hitters and shift momentum, while her communication and energy helped keep her team engaged during challenging moments. Moving forward, she is concentrating on improving footwork and timing on quick attacks, getting off the net faster, and communicating earlier with her setter to improve connections. Off the court, Martin takes pride in balancing school, training, and recovery, while continuing to develop as a leader.
