Mid America Volleyball 15 Elite, Black Overviews

They too feature a lot of upcoming talent in the area.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Elite</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This team has won one tournament taking the 15 Girls crown in the MAVA Winter Classic. The team has finished in the top five of all five tournaments played in.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sayre freshman libero [player_tooltip player_id='886496' first='Jace' last='Spencer'] had a nice season in the fall and has carried it over to the spring. Ballard freshman Sara Donovan also plays defensive specialist. Collins freshman Jules Aldridge and Washington County freshman [player_tooltip player_id='763669' first='Rylee' last='Hunt'] plays defensive specialist and outside hitter. The setter is Spencer County freshman Katelyn Rawlings. Eastern freshman [player_tooltip player_id='937853' first='McKenna' last='Kohler'] sets and plays right side hitter.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bethlehem has two freshmen on the team in outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='790820' first='Evelyn' last='Ballard'] outside/right side hitter [player_tooltip player_id='846913' first='Blair' last='O'Bryan']. Christian Academy - Louisville freshman Kate Prentice plays outside/opposite hitter with sophomore Mollie Hartman playing right side and middle hitter. Sacred Heart freshman Sophia Gorney plays middle hitter.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Shannon Burch is the team's head coach. The team finished runner-up in the Battle on Broadway 15 Club Division in Nashville in mid-January. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Elizabethtown eighth grader [player_tooltip player_id='749309' first='Henley' last='Frank'] said she's playing up for training and repetitions as a defensive specialist. Bethlehem freshman [player_tooltip player_id='930237' first='Abigail' last='Peterson'] plays defensive specialist and setter. Shelby County freshman Madilyn Munford plays in the middle and the pins. Marion County freshman Elin Gardiner plays middle blocker. Spencer can effectively backpedal and do overhead passes. Spencer makes the simple passes and lunges when needed to track down balls not far from her. She's developing good range and improving her control. O'Bryan makes good adjustments to place balls away from opponents. O'Bryan deposits ones to different parts of the court. O'Bryan also makes good first touches. Hunt takes nice rips and sends hard crosses across the court. She does a good job getting on top of balls. Frank squares her body up to balls to make smooth first touches and help the 15 Black team jumpstart the offense. Frank takes nice swings and has a tough jump serve.
