Remarkable Middles in the Skyline Classic 5

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The club volleyball season continues to progress at full pace in the country, and every weekend, dozens of tournaments of all levels are held in the state of Texas. Prep Dig continues to follow many of them, attending events and tracking down the most exciting young players in the Lone Star State.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On Saturday, January 31, we made it to the recently renovated facilities of the [program_tooltip program_id='510661' first='Houston' last='Skyline'] club, which hosted the Skyline Classic #5. She offered them a massive presence at the net and was probably the best blocker in the entire division. Scheyer was excellent at reading plays, very quick to get off the floor and used her long arms extremely well, getting many touches on the ball, registering some stops and generating transition plays for her team. She was very mobile at the net, moving well from pin to pin and providing them with a nice blocking presence. Marbach also did well offensively, finding ways to score in difficult situations with tips and making the most of her length, especially when hitting at the pin. She was one of the team's main offensive weapons and did a good job at the net, having solid efficiency with her swings. Goodman put a lot of pressure on the ball when she went up and did a good job of hitting around opposing blockers. The middle was the centerpiece in their playing system, having a prominent role in many areas of the game. Combining great size and solid technical skills, she was very efficient at the net, hitting from the middle and the pin.
