Texas 2027 State Ranking New Additions Vol 2

The State Rankings update is here!!! We have added 21 new players in this update. This series of articles is to introduce them to our readers and every college coach in the country. We have been watching the 2027 class very closely throughout the entire club & high school season. A lot of the analysis has come from watching these players in person and also by watching the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone's recruiting profiles. We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be added to the rankings due to their individual performances.    Please welcome [player_tooltip player_id='827617' first='Jordan' last='Mitchell'] to the Prep Dig Texas 2027 State Ranking List, where she debuts as the No. 55 overall player in the 2027 grad class. Mitchell is a six foot two middle blocker who plays at Waco Midway High School and competes for Austin [program_tooltip program_id='431229' first='Performance' last='Volleyball'] Club. She has verbally committed to continue her volleyball career at the University of Maryland. Mitchell is an exceptional blocker whose timing immediately stands out on film. She uses strong court vision to read the hitter's line of approach and positions herself so the attacker's arm swing stays directly in her midline. That detail is critical because it allows her to make controlled adjustments in mid air rather than reaching or drifting. With a powerful upper body and disciplined hand positioning, she is very difficult to tool or overpower. Hitters are often forced to alter their natural swing path and attempt sharper angles just to avoid her hands. Offensively, she brings the same level of precision and authority. She is comfortable attacking both in front of and behind the setter, giving her offense flexibility in tempo and spacing. Her big hands allow her to get on top of the ball and drive it with force to multiple locations on the court. She does not simply tip into open space, she terminates with conviction. That two way impact at the net makes her a valuable piece for both her high school and club programs. Please welcome [player_tooltip player_id='438347' first='Kenli' last='Irwin'] to the Prep Dig Texas 2027 State Ranking List, where she debuts as the No. 67 overall player in the 2027 grad class. Kenli is a six foot outside hitter who plays at Barbers Hill High School and competes for [program_tooltip program_id='510661' first='Houston' last='Skyline'] Volleyball Club. One of the strongest aspects of Irwin's game is that she is a true six rotation left side attacker. Her serve receive platform is steady and controlled, allowing her team to remain in system even against high level serving pressure. Offensively, she attacks with purpose from every zone on the court. She can overpower defenders with heavy swings through the seam, adjust mid air to turn the ball around the block, or mix in polished off speed shots that land in defensive gaps. That scoring versatility makes her extremely difficult to defend. In the middle back zone, she operates sideline to sideline with confidence. She reads the play early, processes the hitter's approach, and positions herself before contact so she is rarely caught off balance. Her ability to transition from defense to offense is smooth, which keeps her available as a scoring option in extended rallies. What makes her particularly valuable is her flexibility along the net. She can run multiple routes and tempos, giving coaches significant lineup versatility and offensive creativity. Kenli's complete skill set and positional adaptability make her a major asset for both high school and club competition. Please welcome [player_tooltip player_id='433636' first='Izabelle' last='Buchholz'] to the Prep Dig Texas 2027 State Ranking List, where she debuts as the No. 74 overall player in the 2027 grad class. Izabelle is a six foot right side hitter who plays at Emerson High School and competes for MadFrog Volleyball Club. With her lengthy reach, Buchholz is a legitimate offensive weapon on the opposite. She presents a difficult matchup because she contacts the ball high and extends well over the net. What truly separates her is the speed of her footwork in transition from block to attack. When a right side can get off the net quickly and establish spacing early, it expands the setter's options and relieves pressure from the left side attacker. That is exactly the value she brings to her club team. She becomes even more dangerous when utilized in the middle of the net on play sets and second tempo routes. From that angle, her reach is extremely difficult to defend, especially for smaller or slower middles trying to close the block. Her arm swing is lightning quick, forcing blockers to establish position early if they hope to slow her down. If they are late, she will beat them to contact and score cleanly. Buchholz has the length, speed, and offensive upside that translate well to the collegiate level. Any program looking for a long pin with pop and transition quickness should take notice.
