The new number in the Class of 2027 is [player_tooltip player_id='345274' first='Lauren' last='Sprague']. Sprague has had quite a year where she has been playing up on the Madtown 181 National squad and was an unanimous first team WVCA All State pick. She was a big piece of the success of Waunakee who advanced to the D1 final four. She had 420 kills and nearly 300 digs. What is impressive about her game is her efficiency. There are so many shots in her bag of tricks that its tough for the defense to key in on her. She will find the open spot and is always smart in an out of system situation. She will be heading to the ACC and will play for Notre Dame.

The length and athleticism will translate well for [player_tooltip player_id='510426' first='Ellisyn' last='Shultis'] heading to Green Bay following graduation. She's 6'0, quite the wingspan, and has had a huge year for Fond du Lac High School and [program_tooltip program_id='428591' first='FC' last='Elite']. She was part of their 16 Open qualifying team during the 2025 club season and this club season is on their 18 Elite team. [program_tooltip program_id='428591' first='FC' last='Elite'] to Green Bay has been a solid pipeline for the Phoenix who continues to battle to be atop of the Horizon League. Shultis's best volleyball is still ahead of her and could be one to watch at the next level.

I remember seeing [player_tooltip player_id='553214' first='Haylin' last='Arnold'] play a little bit for DeForest this high school season and saw her again at the Northern Lights Qualifier. She is a lethal attacker where opponents have to know where she is in the front and backrow. Her arm is electric. She's not afraid to swing big, go for high hands and the deep corner. This Madtown 171 National squad will be one to watch this weekend at the Badger Region Qualifier. They are battle tested and with an outlet to score points like [player_tooltip player_id='553214' first='Haylin' last='Arnold'], they have the potential to win some big matches come Sunday.

South Dakota State has been finding some gems in Wisconsin and [player_tooltip player_id='828145' first='Alyssa' last='Gray'] is next in line. The 6'4 middle blocker brings an athletic style of play where she can take control of the net with her block and knows how to score points. She touches high and has lateral quickness where she is going to make opposing attackers think twice about how they swing. She is on the [program_tooltip program_id='428672' first='Milwaukee' last='Sting'] 17 Black team where this will be a big weekend for this group. They will be looking to get an early bid to Indy and many of these athletes will be a great pick up at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='483665' first='Addison' last='Schmidt'] is a unique athlete. She played for Club Red in Northwest Wisconsin last year and was also playing high level AAU basketball. Rice Lake is also a power in girls basketball. Fast forward to now and Schmidt has verbally committed to play volleyball and basketball for Green Bay. The GB women's basketball program has always been an NCAA tournament caliber program and with her athleticism she can contribute to both. She is playing club volleyball for Kokoro while she will also look to make a run to the Resch in hopes of qualifying for the state basketball tournament.

Seeing Madtown 171 National at the Northern Lights Qualifier was impressive. They went toe to toe with some top teams in the country in the 17 Open Division. An athlete who really stepped up was [player_tooltip player_id='565655' first='Makennah' last='Peterson']. She was able to stuff some high level outside hitters as well as finding a way to score points. She brings physicality and strength to the net where she would be a great pick up at the middle or I could even see her on the right side at the college level. She is one to quickly put a star next to in University Athlete to see real soon.

There is a dynamic style of play to the game of [player_tooltip player_id='595947' first='Cora' last='Foster'] who can set and swing. The 2027 setter combo player plays for Manitowoc Lincoln and is on the 1W 17 Elite team who is off to a fast start in 2026. They won the St. Louis Presidents Day 17 Premier Division. There are plenty of 2027s on this team who would be a great pick up at the next level. Foster brings maturity, poise, and a high IQ court sense that automatically elevates the game of others.

A new name on the rankings is [player_tooltip player_id='522345' first='Emma' last='Schuh'] who preps at Brillion High School and is on the roster for [program_tooltip program_id='428591' first='FC' last='Elite'] 17 Navy. She has been a three sport standout for Brillion and from the volleyball court she has been powerful and consistent. She was just shy of 300 kills this past season as a junior and could be on track to surpass 1,000 in her career. She has also had over 100 total blocks each of the past two seasons. She is that small school athlete who does a little bit of everything and her best volleyball could be ahead of her.

Another setter for One Wisconsin who is rising in the Class of 2027 is [player_tooltip player_id='724541' first='Izzy' last='Otto']. She is a D2 Honorable Mention All State pick where she already has 2200 assists with one season left in the tank. She glides on the court, she gets her feet to the ball and knows how to run a fast offense. What sets her apart is being able to be a true athlete, she knows how to defend, react, and adjust based on what the other side of the net is giving her.
