In the 15U age group, FaR Out 15 Black is really making a name for itself in 2026.

Full of big power and athleticism, this group has already collected some Open championships, while earning victories over high-profile teams in the country.

Here's a closer look at this team, coached by Michelle Lurye.

Best Of The Best Outsides

FaR Out can argue it has some of the best outside hitters in the country at 15 Black. [player_tooltip player_id='812023' first='Brynn' last='Johnson'] was arguably the most productive freshman in the entire country this past fall for Marshall and she's not slowing down this club season. [player_tooltip player_id='775991' first='Sydney' last='Manning'] is a well-balanced OH from BC Lakeview that moves smoothly around the floor and times out her swings well. [player_tooltip player_id='888951' first='Piper' last='Vugteveen'] is a 6-foot outside from Hudsonville that plays well above the net, while [player_tooltip player_id='888957' first='Sydney' last='Coffin'] and [player_tooltip player_id='888949' first='Haylee' last='Winczewski'] are outsides that can fill any role and have sharp defensive play to complement their consistent offensive production.

Length In the Middle

[player_tooltip player_id='888956' first='Maddie' last='Hirdes'] is a 6'1” middle/RS options from Coopersville, while [player_tooltip player_id='888953' first='Kennedy' last='Thomas'] is a 6-foot middle from East Lansing, and [player_tooltip player_id='888958' first='Ellery' last='Bieneman'] is a long 5'11” middle from Lowell. All three play with exceptional footwork and explosiveness. While Hirdes may be able to play with the biggest wingspan, each of these gals can climb the ladder and deliver unstoppable attacks. Thomas is a breakout star from the Lansing area and doesn't seem to have a ceiling for where she can take her play. Bieneman is strong product out of Lowell that has a tremendous finishing rate.

Elite Setting

[player_tooltip player_id='777145' first='Andersyn' last='King'] and [player_tooltip player_id='782946' first='Catie' last='Jilek'] are the two setters on this roster. Each brings their own strengths to the court, but both can hold their own with any setters in this class. Jilek is a 6-foot setter from Portage Central that uses her length to her advantage in the position. She's got quick connections and keeps ahead of the blockers. King is a Harper Creek standout. She can make all the sets and has been able to get herself low to the ground to make some tremendous sets when the ball seems to be out of reach.

Brown Leading The Defense

Another elite 2029 prospect is handling the defense in Cadillac's [player_tooltip player_id='782164' first='Isabelle' last='Brown']. She literally excelled everywhere for Cadillac this fall, which speaks to how talented an athlete she is. Now, being able to focus strictly on defense, Brown is able to use that athleticism to cover so much space in the back row. She's got tremendous competitive fire as well, which translates to her teammates.

Expectations

This can be a special group and they've already come home with the Bluegrass Tournament title and a third-place finish in The Nike Classic. They took a few bumps at Triple Crown, but still showed flashes of what they can be when they are at their best. FaR Out 15 Black should go into each event confident it can win the whole thing. They've got the arms to hang with anyone, and they've got the athleticism to keep pace with anyone.
