Five 15, 14s to Watch at Bluegrass Invitational Tournament

Walker is playing all-around for the club team. Reps 15 Blue head coach Kelly Goodwin described Walker as an exceptional athlete and hard worker. Walker has a great approach to the net, gets on top of balls then uses a good wrist snap to power them hard to the ground. Walker can also pound balls off blockers for big points. Wathen makes good first touches allowing that tough offense to get into rhythm and has taken nice steps as a setter. She puts her hitters in position to succeed hitting them in the power zones. Her ball placement is fantastic. Hundley hits slides and other back sets to different parts of the court. She can even shove balls to open spots near the side lines. Hundley even uses her off (left) hand on gap touches to tip balls over double blocks. Hundley is also effective in the middle. She puts overpassed balls down to open spots on the court and has excellent form on her blocking. Opponents cannot go soft on her. Hundley has developed a tough jump serve and is turning into a consistent passer. Cannon has developed a quick, solid rhythm playing on the 15 Red team. She can angle balls hard off blocks for big points. Cannon sends a nice rainbow shot to the back row on the go and gap routes. Cannon has turned into a precision passer and can quickly adjust to take solid swings on pipes. Cannon makes things happen off fakes. Johnson does a good job setting up then taking quality swings. Johnson places balls well on go routes. Johnson finds different ways to power balls over and around blockers. She also pounds down overpassed balls.
