The five athletes below are from five different clubs around the state that are new to us, but certainly not to the game of volleyball. Fluid in her transition and tough on the attack, Miss Phillips uses her constant motor and disciplined footwork to get to each and every set and make it better than how she received it. High and hard is her calling card, and she's tough to dig because of the weight she puts behind each and every attack. On defense, her broad shoulders take up a good portion of the net when opponents face her, and she sets a consistent and strong block for her middles to close. If the block is small, she simply goes over. If the block is bigger, she can power through undisciplined versions and tool off of high hands when needed. Broad shoulders, long arms, and innate court vision to read and react well on the block make her. Indispensable for any roster she's a part of. On offense, angles are key for her, as she's currently working on more lift in her jumping ability. The combination of angles, a strong left shoulder and a high volleyball IQ allow her to score at will when in system. On out-of-system play, Miss Kesterke has enough court vision and wherewithal to minimize errors and turn a rough pass-set combination into either points or struggles for her opponents. Upper body strength, a heavy left arm and ability to hit all angles presented makes Amelia a nice option for a next-level right side.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
