Moving right along with our positional breakdowns for the class of ‘27, we're looking at the workhorses of the sport—-the pin attackers, both outsides and right sides, that can make a difference at the next level.

Smart, skilled and explosive, Paige can play either pin at the next level. Her right-side prowess was shown during Westfield's epic run last fall, as six foot pin attackers don't exactly grow on trees here in Indiana. Fully capable of playing all the way around in either position, Paige's ability to hammer away at undisciplined blocks is her calling card, and her turning out-of-system play into points is even more emphasized this season during the first half of club ball.

Due to injuries of multiple athletes on her Circle squad, Jenna has been forced into shouldering more of a load both defensively and in serve receive than she has in previous club seasons. Fully up to the task, Miss Dittmer has been the outlet outside for her 17 Purple squad, and has locked down her spot as a “ball control outside”, so much so that she's already earned a bid to GJNC's later this summer. I'd like to see a little more arm and jumping explosiveness from her, but for now, is quite serviceable as a six rotation option with steady and reliable production.

Although Avery has seen time in the middle due to her size, she's clearly a solid “big” option on the right pin. Broad-shouldered and strong, Avery's defensive training is clearly ahead of her offensive skill set, but that can be taught as well. As I've said before and I'll say again, there's not too many over-six-footers just lying around the state of Indiana, so having someone available with (1) size, (2) strength and (3) solid volleyball acuity, you could do much worse for a three-rotation right side option in this class.

Able to hit multiple angles in multiple situations, Brooklyn has the capability to play at the next level because of her extensive training, solid work ethic and her familiarity with high-level match play. I'm more sold on her being a three-rotation option at this time, as her serve receive and floor defense needs a little more polish. Nevertheless, her ability to out jump and out play numerous outside hitters in this class has raised her stock this high. Refining all parts of her game is something that should come easily to this young lady.

Found on Academy's 17 Riptide (17-2) squad, Victoria is a hyper explosive and compact outside that is full go on every approach. Strictly used as an outside because of her size, I wouldn't put it past her if she was capable of hitting from anywhere, in any angle and in any game situation. The quickness in her footwork to go from standing still to fully explosive isn't seen much from this position in this class, and her arm swing is as whiplike as it gets from ANY position. A lot of schools will overlook Miss Stier because of her size. Smaller schools will LOVE having Victoria because of that bulldog mentality of being a full-go and no-quit attacker that knows nothing except relentlessness.
