The updated release brings with it a bunch of revelations. Of course, most everyone on our rankings lists have given a ton back in the form of sweat equity. Out of the nearly 300 athletes we have listed in the class of ‘27, here are five ballers from around the state that have given that much more in the recruiting process to attract our attention. Two of these kids improved their stock into a collegiate commitment.

In order to earn collegiate recruiter attention, there has to be something EXTRA done. Emily is the true definition of that statement, being a little more extra in all parts of her game. Eastern Kentucky is getting a hard-working and hard-nosed setter who can make bad passes hittable and good passes look perfect. Defensively, she makes the first ball easy to handle for the second contact, and is more than long enough to be a solid block setter in the front row. She runs an offense better than a lot of setters in this class, and is getting high end play by being the setter on the Samurai this spring.

In short, Division II University of Indianapolis absolutely STOLE a Division I level player from the recruiting world. McKenna is a beast of a player, nearly perfect in all aspects of the game we all love. In serve receive, she's got hyperactive feet coupled with a calm platform. On offense, Miss Yadon can put balls away in any speed of offense to any angle at any time in any match situation. The definition of workhorse, McKenna is a huge addition to the Greyhounds for the fall of ‘27, and she still has a full years' worth of development to go.

A year and a half ago, Krea was forced into setting duties for her Columbus East squad, who didn't exactly have the greatest season in the fall of ‘24. Fast-forward to her ‘26 club season's start, and Miss Martin is a full-time libero, and can do anything a defender is supposed to do at the next level. With a relentless motor and even more relentless positivity, Krea's the libero that can be the captain because of how she carries herself on and off the court. I've liked this kid for years—-and pretty soon, colleges will notice all the things she can do for them.

Caya's now on the PHP 17s squad, which is tearing up the Midwest in the 17s division. Capable of being a three-rotation attacker in any position, she thrives in the middle with her length, constant transition speed and a high attack point. Her blocking posture and discipline are more refined than her attack at this point, so it's only a matter of time and training with Coach Ball before she REALLY takes over a match. Six-footers with skill are rare in Indiana. six-footers with skill IN THE MIDDLE are extremely rare, and you could do a lot worse than Caya in this class.

As a no-nonsense, athletic setter, Dara does her job well, all without the flash and flare that setters think they need to bring to a team. Her hands are strong, she receives passes high, is deceptive with her choices and knows how to feed the hot hand on her squad. As a leader, she leads by example, and easily commands attention when she plays and speaks. I think the best way to describe Miss Bush is easy—-[program_tooltip program_id='943690' first='Hoosier' last='Elite'] would NOT be as accomplished as they are without Dara at the helm of the offense.
